It's not like we can spray it with water like a cat...

If we're going to destroy it, we ought to do it now while he's "small." I don't think we'll be able to control him if he gets any smarter either. Perhaps we can get it to start sleeping in the disposal thing, and one night we'll 'accidentally' turn it on.

Sorry for double post: We can also put bombs in the thing to blow him up if the disposal can't completely eat him. And we'll have the new warriors shoot the shit out of him with ion blasters as well.

If that doesn't work.. Hell I guess we can scout out some tough human settlements for him to fight, and eventually he'll have to die.

Why do you guys assume that he is going to go insane and kill us in our sleep just look at the collar incident as a test of loyalty he was trying to defend us also in his mind.

...because it is an insane, deadly supermonster?

At the moment, it's got a childish mind, so it follows our commands. But it's getting smarter. What happens if it reaches the rebellious 'teenage' phase? It could, without difficulty, wipe out our entire colony without so much as a scratch.

This is why we need it controllable or destroyed. It's a time bomb with the clock ticking.

Also, he was never blown up. Not sure why but it seems some thought the collar blew up and he survived. Not so. He was holding the remote, the one that belonged to us. He discovered the collar, removed it, found out what it did, stole the detonator and blew up the warriors. He's already displayed considerable initiative. He's gotta go.

I guess you're plus one-ing my plan then Gilgamesh..?

I guess people are torn between killing it and keeping it, so I'll put up a poll and see.

EDIT:
Also, GM: Was the bomb doomed to fail from the beginning or did it have a very poor roll and Fal a good one?

He was doomed to hurt someone, chainborn being the highest, then the warriors, then the councilor, then Philip. Him discovering the collar was  a lucky roll on his part. He may or may not hurt someone in the future.

A Gray December Morn

Year 1, December
Seeing the damage Fal has caused, you decide to put him down for good. You go to the growing bay to see Fal. You've had to man the guard posts with the chainborn now that the warriors are dead. You goad him to sleep in the disposal from now on, so that you can kill him in his sleep. You arm the chainborn with ion phasers and station them outside of the disposal machine. Your councilor stands at your side. You turn the machine on, violently ripping Fal into pieces. The chainborn then fire at the disposal, destroying it. When the dust settles, Fal is alive, though horribly maimed. He breathes slowly and painfully, looking at you with fear and horror.

Then a burning pain shoots up your leg as your councilor looms over you with a phaser in his hand. He grins as he points the phaser to your face. "What kind of mother are you? Putting your own child through pain like this?"

"What's going on?" You look to the chainborn for help, but they stand there motionless. Something is wrong.

"You really think that the birth of that dying monster over there was really an accident? I re-engineered the machine to make 'Fal'. I wanted to see what it could do. What I could do. All these accidents, you think they really were coincidences? The crash? The 'fanatic' bandits? The beast finding the collar and killing the only capable fighters you had?" The councilor laughs.

"When I made the collar, I made it inject hormones into the beast to make it more aggressive and unnerved. I also spread lies within the warriors to sow discord and give a reason for 'Fal' to target them." He stops talking and sees you looking for help from the chainborn. "Let me explain. The overseer was no accident either. I made it obedient to me, and the chainborn are obedient to it. They're mine now."

"Why are you doing this?" you ask him.

"Because I want to be free. Free from you. Free from the bitch they call the Matriarch. And now, I a-" He is cut off as his arm is blown off from an ion blast. Philip stands behind him, shaking visibly. He helps you to your feet and races out, chased by the chainborn and the overseer. You lead him to the birthing chamber, where you give him a new seed and your genetic memories. You're bleeding out and you'll die soon. You give it to him and tell him to run away, far away. The chainborn catch up, but Philip is long gone. Your life ends with a quick shot to the head.

You are Philip now. You control where he goes and what he does. Instructions will be given next turn. But for now, hide!

((great...congratulations gents. Instead of having a super killing machine we have a 12 year-old boy. Wow. Really,Field Marshal Haigs would have been proud of you. Has none of you ever read Frankenstein?))

EDIT: scratch that.

Scream for Fal to help you. Scream your little bloody lungs out and keep running. then do the below if there is no chance that he will come
Run back to the village, inform them that huge monsters are in the forest. Try to convince them to contact the nearest count or duke or whatever feudal lord is in the vicinity. Keep the seed hidden for now until a halfway intelligent person of authority (knight, count, duke, king) shows up to deal witht he threat.

What, because you could've predicted THAT? And if we had kept it alive, the overseer would've only used it against us.

I don't think I fully understand what these corpse men are.

The overseer/counselor had someone else's will/memories/soul programmed to be inserted into him when he was created, I guess..? Is that what was implied to have happened?

Right. We would've been betrayed later, instead of right now.
