"I wonder if that counts as causing pain for the purposes of my curse." he mutters.

Lizzie gently cradles Rex's skull in her arms, nudging her head up against it.

It began to rain, adding to the depressing atmosphere.

"Hollow piece of air cannot harm a living flower. You must not let them. I think, that there is not a single one here that will let that happen." As he said this, he took out a recorder, recorded his heartbeats, and gave it to her.

"When I was sad or scared, I always liked listening to hearbeats. This is my gift!"
