"Oh..." Louie's tone remains the same pitch and volume though it now contains a hint of flustered embarrassment. "You're from one of them, cul- er, New Age religions right? *sigh* Damn it, 'twas easier when everyone had the same rituals and symbols, none of that musical crap or weird icons." He takes out several more gold pieces and donates them. "Sorry for the trouble."

"None taken, kind Sir. _{Hah sucker.}" the cloaked priest bowed his head low, partly to cover his hair again.

"Are, a resident of this town?"

[hops]

"Oh, no. I travel along cities, towns and hamlets to help as much as I can." by which he means every time he needs to jump town before he gets lynched.

[Cheesecake]

"Ah. A clergyman. Tell us, man of God, which brotherhood do you hail from?"

"In that case, would you happen to know where we are?" Louie could've sworn that he hadn't had anything alcoholic to drink last night, but seeing as he is currently in the middle of a foreign town, speaking to one of those New Age hippies priests, reality begs to differ.

[hops]

"I'm from the... ahhhhh... the Askani Brotherhood." Dany decides that he is going to jump town tomorrow before these people realize that isn't a religion. "I'm afraid I can't recall, neither. I simply journey along to the next town as necessary."

[Twi]

Meanwhile, somewhere a pack of fluffy nomadic space raptors is working on a novel. Cuz fack it, we need NPCs.

...actually, said somewhere appears to be an aerostat floating high above the city, held up by the winds. The anchoring structure with its little cable-climbing car is rather cute, and features a number of kiosks and screens on pretty much every surface imaginable. The cable itself appears to have been used for holographic advertising, amusingly enough.

Louie may notice that one of the holo-ads up there is using his religious symbol. Apparently it's part of a book cover?
*cheap attempt at provoking by Twi is cheap, whatever excuse needed to use NPCs while he's awake.*

"What in the heavens? Why is the insignia up there?"
Given the prospect of finding out where on earth he was, Louie immediately searches for a way up.

[Twi]

Louie finds what looks halfway between an elevator and an info booth. Besides the aforementioned cable-climbing car, the small, securely anchored  building is host to a disturbing amount of technology. Flat-panel LCDs, holograms, touch screens... all very confusing  for the likes of Louie. At least enough of it is in English that one can gather that this place is the home and office of a writer. or writers? It's...a little confusing.

The city seems to be a mix of modern, medieval, renaissance and futuristic.

Miranda can see a modern cafe right next to a tavern called the Snail's Leaf.

Well, a mixture of whatever races you can think of and more seem to populate the place; Avali, goblins, tieflings, orks, etc, etc.

And they don't seem to be attacking others, either.

Weird place. Go definey and shit. All I said was there was a city of everything adventurey stuff.

Hmm... looks like a mage's tower... albeit one with copious quantities of liquor involved in its construction...
Louie walks up to a glowing panel. "I beseech thee! Bring me to the top of the tower!"
The touchscreen does not comply with his wishes. Damn it, knowing the average mage, commands will have to be issued in Latin...
