Once again the bullets stop. Anyone who could detect a thing would find that the mindflayer has a psychic shield around him.

You won't. You really won't. I'd suggest sealing the dimensional gate before the army of superpowered loners arrives.

"Or someone reroutes all the sewage pipes through it."

The mindflayer is too high for him to be stabbed.
