"Well, are you able to use the kind of magic I use?"
"So it's a mutagen? Sounds nasty."

"If I could absorb some of the energy from your magic I could replicate it. It would take me a while."

[Empiricist]

"So, what do I have to do to try that?"

[Vgray]

"It is indeed. You in the cloak. You called me Gnome. Are you familiar with my kind?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Hit me with your magic.

Your kind exist in my world. Granted, they are rather different in personality, but they look similar."

[Vgray]

"Are your Gnomes brilliant insatiably curious inventors?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"No."

[Empiricist]

"Okay, I'll try..."
Yuri leans in close to the cloaked figure and distorts reality to prevent them from burning objects on contact. Said magic affects an utterly miniscule area for a few  moments.
"That's about as much as I can do. I think my magic is weakened here."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

The figure seems to emit a whirring noise for a couple of minutes, before...
"Energy signature recognized."

[Empiricist]

"Just for that spell, or my actual magic?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

The figure distorts reality to prevent himself from burning things.

"Is that the only magic you have? If so, then I can mimic yours."

[Vgray]

Tasrak unsheathes his sword and sets it down.

[Empiricist]

"My magic, well, all magic where I'm from, is the ability to change reality according to the user's wishes. Though it can't control minds of other creatures. It's called, er... it's well... um... I, I think it's called First Order Magic if I remember correctly."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

He nods.
"I see."

He uses it to warp his cloak into....a cloak with waterproof properties.
