"She doesn't know we talked. We can talk to eachother telepathically, but I blocked that specific topic from her." Rex whispers to Kyle before he leaves.

Lizzie is simply staring at the wall, with the TV playing in the background.

Kyle puts on a smile and puts an arm around her shoulder.

Lizzie acknowledges him with a nod and turns to the TV, having been snapped back to reality.

"Do you want to do anything?"

She shrugs.

Kyle nods and watches TV. He silently wishes he had some idea of what she liked to do.

Kyle would find that Lizzie has fallen asleep.

Kyle sighs and takes her up to her room and tucks her in.

Right now, she looks quite peaceful in her sleep.

Kyle smiles and tucks a lock of hair behind her ear.

Lizzie turns over and buries her head within her pillow.

Kyle's smile steadily gets sadder as he watches her. He ends up going to search for books on solving Lizzie's problem.

Lizzie has a bunch of books in the basement of the cottage on necromancy, with her Necromonicon laying on the desk.
One book describes the Circle of Damnation as eternal and unsolvable, while others describe the possibility of exiting it through a bargaining with the masters of the Soul Cairn, a dimension in which souls are sent in Lizzie's world. That is all that is said, but Kyle finds fragments relating to the opening of a portal to the Soul Cairn, but cannot get any more information.

Kyle sighs.
"I don't suppose this Soul Crain thing can be opened with a free coupon to a five star restaurant..."

"Nope. The Necronomicon may have some answers, but Lizzie is the only one that can read it. The book often has several passages hidden within its normal text."
