"The fact that I'm in a new universe where my resources from before don't matter and that the woman I find myself attracted to is only pretending to love me to make me feel better since she can't love because her soul is slowly being eaten away and will eventually end with her suddenly dying for something that will most likely end with her?"

Rex sighs, the ordinary green in his eyes slowly glowing a deep blue color.
 "...It is a terrible predicament. As a soul passes through the void, the Planes of Undeath and eventually into the Soul Cairn, it gradually becomes corrupted. Lizzie's is like that, only remaining fixated in her body like normal souls. My soul isn't corrupted as much, as it takes around a minute for a soul to pass the void. After that it enters the corruption process where the energies that make up the soul break away and become less... human."
