Sarah scowls, clenching her teeth briefly.

"I normally lecture on calculus, not behavior, but understand this. Unlike you, I am an adult and have been trying to act mature. Something that is very difficult when you have the nerve to...to...!"

"Reward the people who reluctantly saved your life with petty racism and insults?"

"...That."

"Hmph. There is a half blooded freak. Called Luke Mckenzie. It would be a humiliation for him to come from the Mckenzie family and have scars and bruises. Go and treat that freak." Lorenzo said harshly.

"Tell him to meet me in here." Lorenzo said as he handed in a piece of paper. He got up, and started limping again. He was weak, malnourished, and had no power.

Korloth holds his arm in front of him and appears to be interacting with some sort of holographic interface.

"Komato Nanofield model number 50003453A safety protocols overridden."

Elizabeth currently just is wandering the city, not really with any destination.

[Twi]

A: Sarah grabs him.

B: The ambulance arrives.

"Sorry, our victim is being more of a bitch than Fermat's Last Theorem. Listen, idiot. Go in that ambulance there and get healed on your own time. Then think about how you live and stop trying to justify insanity with how you were born. Come on, Titan, let's go."

She shoves him into the waiting authority/medicalpeople, then walks away, quite obviously disgusted.

Meanwhile Luke is lying in a dark alley of the city, where nobody seems to be watching, trying to recover from the injuries that his brother has kindly sent him.

"The abundant amount of injuries suggests that this was done in groups, about 3-4, which is the amount of people that are usually in a thug. Seeing how my brother has a stubborn personality and pride, he is the one who started it, and he will not stop even in verge of death for the sake of not being humiliated. But the beating stopped. Meaning that someone has saved him." Luke deduced. He limps to the cottage.

Gaston nods.
"Hmph. You act superior, yet you lost to a bunch of mere mortals with no magic. You use your own brother to save your own skin. And when the lovely ladies save you, you insult them with all the lack of gratitude a mere criminal would have!

Heh! Slimy coward. Clan MacKenzie must be a house of thieves and fiends if this is the best they can offer. You say that this is humiliation? Your mere existence is humiliation enough."
Gaston doesn't even bother doffing his hat as he walks off, also disgusted.

Lorenzo is silent.

That half blooded freak!.... He shouts.

"Is he a good guy?!"

Luke may find himself healing, because the medical people around here are reasonably competent and have magic and future tech at their disposal. And unless Lorenzo actively tries to hurt himself, which will just get him restrained or something, he'll end up being brought back to health. Luckily for the plot, they won't pay extra attention to him after they release him unless he does try to hurt himself in the hospital, so he could go back to being a git then. But for now, he's off to get healed and fed whether he likes it or not.

Sarah, on the other hand, is having the unique experience of saving someone's life and wishing she hadn't.

"Now that's what I expect from a Mckenzie clan..." Lorenzo ambigously smiles, tears in his face.

..Sarah is secretly using her abilities to spy on Lorenzo and Gaston, somehow. Apparently Gaston went with Lorenzo, probably because they couldn't track down Luke and Gaston was the only other person who knew the guy.

"...Do you have any idea what that means?"

"Of course not."

Gaston tilts his head, dusting his hat off.
"Heh. Perhaps you aren't such a blind fool after all. You still have far more to learn.

Gaston walks off to find Sarah and apologise.
