In convincing him fails, go find any other neighbors.

We can always come back and laugh at his mauled corpse, the bastard.

Yup.

But I want to try several types of convincing first.

Tell him that being alone makes it even less likely that he will be safe, seeing as how when he goes to sleep, one could just burst in and eat him, and it also makes it harder to watch all the windows. Also tell him that having extra people draws the exact same risk of the creatures showing up as him alone.

Run if he aims a rocket launcher at us or something.

"Wait a second, wouldn't being alone make you even less safe. I mean, if there's nobody around to keep watch while you sleep, one of those things could just break in and eat you. Plus, how does us being here risk attracting them any more than you alone does?"
"The way I see it, one of two things could happen. Either law and order are restored within a short period of time, in which case I won't have to worry about sleep, or they aren't, in which case being locked in the same building as you is a death sentence. Don't think I've forgotten about what happened with that cat. And as for attracting the creatures, I'm going to be inside where they can't see me. You two are not, and I'd rather not have you be spotted by the things so close to my house."
"Alright then, so how exactly are you going to chase us off?"

Will smiles a bit at this, and raises a dusty, antique-looking blunderbuss up to the window.
"This right here is more or less guaranteed to blow your head clean off if I hit you with it. And my aim's not half bad, so I suggest that you leave before I see if I can better it any."

What if you have me locked in a closet or something when you are asleep? If I tried getting out, the noise would wake you.

This isn't a fight we can handle at the moment, but that blunderbuss would make for some nice loot. See if there's anyone else in the area.

Think we should call his bluff?

If you ever played red dead redemption, zombie nightmare,  you'd know that a blunderbuss can turn us into a bloody mist if pointed in our general direction. Better to play it safe, at least until we get a better weapon for ourselves.

Leeets just ask him about using the closet first.

I'm not sure our female companion will assent to being thrown in the closet...

I'm pretty sure Will is specifically against us.

That assumes it is a bluff, which it may not be.

Let's not, and go somewhere else. I dunno about you, but I have a preference against being stuck in the closet.

+1 To closet idea. The goal is to get inside, then we can just wait for the chance to stab him. Even if he does lock us up we'll still be inside what is presumably a well fortified house.

Why don't we go find a better house that doesn't require stabbing someone in front of our new sort-of-friend, potentially dragging in these creatures with the scent of blood?
