Crusader Kings 2:Let's play together!
« on: April 12, 2014, 07:00:03 pm »

So, my IRL friends are too busy playing EU4, and I'm tired of it. I picked up CK2 a couple of months ago and fancy myself fairly good. And I want to play with a larger group of people. If you are interested in playing, we need someone to host(My computer is crap at hosting) someone who has all the DLC ideally, and people to play! We will be starting at the old gods start.

To join, just say you are interested, and we can figure out times once we have 5-6 people or so.

I have all the DLC (Ok all the CONTENT DLC, I don't have any of the unit packs.) , but someone needs to teach me how to set all the multiplayer stuff up.

What kind of game are we playing? All one dynasty? Everyone play a different religion? No special rules? Will we be using the Ruler Customizer?

I call someone in Ireland. Dublin, if we're starting Stamford Bridge.

Yes, but that might change if everyone wants a different scenario.

I don't. I like the OG start, most potential for history-breaking nonsensicality. Also the Norse aren't practically dead, and most of the bigger fish aren't formed yet, so one less thing for you to worry about.

Yeah, I do too, I was just saying it was possible. Anyway, yeah, I'll take Dublin.

Don't want to lay something down too early.

I figure for first game everything goes, play whoever you want however you want.

Any mods? I am currently trying out the "Shattered World" one and its interesting to say the least. All counties, everyone only gets the one territory to start with, no empires or even duchies.

Though it does have the "No CBs at the start" problem, at least for Christians. The Norse don't have any problem with that at all :P

I'll join, depending upon mods/start date as well as times the game would be running. I have all the DLC, but am unsure if I will be able to host due to the fact that I don't have access to my firewall (college internet) so I might not have the required port open.

ninjaedit: If I *can* host, I'm not sure how well it would work anyway. My computer isn't the best, but it isn't complete shite. My bandwidth is fucking insane here though, it's almost gigabit, so no problems there.

Hey, I'd be interested. I'd suggest all playing Karlings in the Old God start.

First game I think will be no mods, just default with the DLC's. Also, like I said, anything goes, so play anyone you want. Later games can be all one nation, or with mods, etc. This is just to keep it simple.

I have found that the computer does not matter so much, but the internet connection is very important. My friends with better internet hosted a lot better than the ones with worse internet, even if their computers are better.

So when would we play?

Saturday or Sunday probably, since that is when people are most likely to have free time. Maybe we can pull enough people together for tonight at 6PM EST?
