I really didn't expect them to take the pre-orders down at all, shame I didn't jump on the chance. Also in regards to stream coverage, I remember MANvsGame covering this game when it was early alpha. I also remember seeing a conga line boss that had every 8th beat not be usable for an action.

That would definitely make sense, seeing as a lot of the 8th beats suddenly cut out in the song.  I've only fought one boss, but my friend said he got king conga and he was a bit tricky.  I got the chessboard boss which was interesting.  The king hangs back until you kill all the pieces and then he starts to bumrush you and he's rather dangerous seeing how he can move diagonal(Queens can too, but they don't move on every beat like he does)

Red dragons keep wrecking me though whenever I get to stage 2-3.  Those fireballs are brutal.

Longswords and spears seem to be the most useful weapons.  Having a 2 tile range is far more useful than a diagonal or knight style attack.(Especially with enemies that move based on how you move)

Unfortunately theres still no steam store page for the game so you can't wishlist it either.  There's an appnumber assigned though, so it should just be a matter of time.

Unless of course they don't fit properly and your feet blister up like bubble wrap.
Oh ho ho, but don't try to return the shoes, because they won't take them back once you've worn them.
Especially if that fat pig Tony is at the desk.

Looks... interesting. Might have to check it out when it isn't early access.

I'd say it's worth it now, I've got about 8 hours out of it so far.

Oof, unlocked all the permanent upgrades but still haven't completed zone 1. I can get the rhythm down but when there's a bunch of enemies on the screen I get confused on their patterns.

Would be nice if we had some info on what items actually did. At least The Binding of Isaac gave us some sort of obtuse hint at the worst. What do ballet shoes even do?

The biggest problem I have with this game is that after playing it for some time I can't stop the habit of moving in time with a rhythm in my head.

the thing that bothers me is that you can't keep your items and go on to the next level.
and doing level 3 with nothing but a dagger is no damm joke

Well, I finally beat Zone 3. The main thing I have to thank, I think, is the Blunderbuss.

The Blunderbuss is like 100% concentrated get-the-hell-away-from-me. Perfect for Zone 3 and those smarmy goblin bastards. And also the general claustrophobia of literally everything out to get you. It allowed me to maintain roughly a 3x3 zone of control which helped majorly when dealing with all the movement hazards in Zone 3.

It also helped that I ended up fighting the chess boss at the end and he was really easy with the Blunderbuss's AOE. Can't wait until Zone 4 comes out.

I think my favorite treasures have to be the reloading weapons, the drum, and the ballet shoes. Mostly just the reloading weapons and the drum. Turns you can spend doing nothing are really valuable, and you eventually get the rhythm ingrained in you so much that you stop paying attention to it, really.

Okay about this game...

1. It is insanely fun...

2. The soundtrack is not all EDM...

3. I've seen this game on streams for the contest...

4. "Red Aquamentus" is almost bullshit...

5. Custom Soundtrack

6. It is a Procedural Death Labyrinth. what they call Roguelite or Roguelike-like now.

And a question, I am a musician, and on king Conga, I have heard the Latin Beats before. It has either been sampled or recreated on this track. Where did this come from?

I just don't understand this game. I have no problem keeping with the tempo, but it seems like every eight steps or so, I miss a beat. Every time this happens, there's little bars on the side of my heart, and they disappear. Either the tutorial doesn't go over this or I missed it.

Edit: Okay... I understand it now. The bars are the coin multiplier, and if you're only looking at the heart indicator, you'll lose. You have to actually jump in time with the rhythm of the song which changes in-song.

This is so awesome.

I'm a little wary of this for a few reasons, but I just cannot get over how awesome their little Steam trailer thingy is.
