PW gave us two hints, after I guessed an 'S'. My guess of 'S' was based on a hangman solver that didn't use proper nouns, and so his first hint was that this *had* a proper nouns. An important thing to note in general, since it completely changes what we should be looking for XD

His second hint was that he had a 'weird sense of humor'. Which was probably not intended as a hint

Based on it though, I guessed that whatever the word was had something to do with hanging, since that was what we were doing, and it seemed rather like piecewise to have us play hangman with something famous in the way of hanging. With the second word, --ee really limited the amount of things that word could have been. Based on the guesses of 'F' this round, I think most of the guessers gravitated towards 'free', but based on the proper noun hint I guessed that the word was probably 'tree'  and that we were looking for a tree famous for being a site of hangings. Since we didn't really have enough letters in the proper noun part to find it, I switched my guess to 'R' as a stall.

Once the R came out helpful (in that it added something to the proper noun), I went to a crossword tool and gave it what we had. It gave back a few hundred words, most of which could be eliminated by looking for 'e' or 'a', since we'd already eliminated those. The remaining words I google searched. Most of them pinged back completely uninteresting things, but Tyburn came back with a city in England whose name was once synonymous with capital punishment in the area, and once contained a gallows named 'Tyburn Tree'. Eureka.

Amusingly, my girlfriend has actually heard of it before through her own interests. This makes me quite suspicious

I've actually been a little unclear about that. I *think* you just win if he dies at any point during the episode, not if he is specifically killed in the elimination round, but I'm not sure.

If that is the case, elimination bets are going to start being ridiculously lucrative
