Sure, why not.

It would be amusing if Mel turned out to be a trap.

Funnily enough, I agree. But we must establish loyalties now! And also make Mel blush!

Yesh!

Well, presumably we'll be teleporting/dimension hopping/traveling through time in about an hour in-game. So I just thought we could totally do that in the interest of not being late.

But yeah, we can be boring and simply run romantically with Mel, if that's what you guys want...

Yush!

And we probably shouldn't be late for the bus/car because the portal could be locationally based.

And I currently am hoping Mel is in reality a trap, that would be awesome.

So, the plan is that we're still gonna pursue Mel if that's the case? I'm up for that.

And what if we don't learn any teleportation spells? What if they're class based? Would either we or Mel need to be a wizard or cleric? Will we even HAVE classes?!

And yes, running romantically with Mel is what I want.

We will absolutely pursue Mel if he/she is a Trap.

And I'm hoping Mel is a cleric or some sort of healer person.

But wouldn't her partial deafness cause problems with spells requiring verbal co- nevermind, I forgot she can speak just fine. I figured she would be some sorta ranger or thief or something, 'cause I figured it would be a she's-deaf-so-she-gets-a-bonus-to-sight kinda things. But I guess hearing would be important in those classes too.

We could romantically cast Blink many times while running to half our time while still causing the blushing yes?

((Where the hell did this trap shit come from? No she is not a trap, admiral Ackbar))
You grab her hand and run to the bus. You and Mel sit in the back, and keep talking about games on the way there.
You get off the bus at game con. What do you do.

Do the obvious - enter the building and ask Mel where she wants to go. Oh, and make a mental list of things to check out.

This. Also check if Tarn and Zach Adams are here.

+1 also spend the entire time in physical  contact with Mel (Including but not limited to: the hand-holding run, the arm-in-arm walk and more)

I'm not sure where the "portal to another world" concept is coming from.  This still seems like like the introduction to Highschool of the Dead, just with a different location.

Quote from: Opening
Once upon a time, there was a land called Etorya. This place was a land of magic and warriors. But then, a dark evil swept over the land, raising the dead. Only a small group of humans remain, still fighting the hoards.
My computer tells me that I'm 78% sure this isn't on Earth. It also says that there is a 93% chance we will need a portal to get there.

You take Mel's hand and enter the building.
Hey Mel, where do you want to go?
Let's go to the Valve stand
You head there.
When you get there, you see a new testing of a new game system
