Athyew runs off, and the sergeant's shout woke up Mel.

While you wait, you decide to hum 'Still Alive', one of your favorite game songs. When you reach the final lines, you begin to feel a bit tougher. The feeling wears off after a few minutes. Now that Mel's more awake, you talk to her.
Hey, so far we've survived a day in this place.
Yeah, and we've killed a bunch of rats. The humble beginnings of every true adventurer!

Anything else she was going to say was halted by the approach of a new group of people, being led by Athyew and a tall, imposing man in flowing dark red robes.
Sir, I brought the magistrate, Ser Donavin.

Yes yes, now out of my way. I have better things to be doing than investigating a petty murder.
The man shoves you aside on his way to the body. You move around to watch him as he preforms his magic. Vin has woken up from the commotion. A minute or two later, the magistrate's face turns a deathly white.
I-It was a dwarf...
How could it be a dwarf!? They were the first to... Oh no...
The red-cloaked man turns to you.
Were you the one who killed this?
No, Vin did.
Yeah, it had almost got Jon when I killed it.

The guards behind him are thoroughly shamed.

Spells:
Push uses a burst of Energy to push an enemy or object back. Can stun if the target hits a wall.
Block uses a shield of Energy to protect a given target from up to 8 damage from 2 attacks. Lasts for 3 combat updates.
Light uses a burst of Energy to illuminate an area. Can stun if creatures aren't used to light.
Flarerrow uses a burst of Energy to create a magic incendiary explosive arrow, that explodes on impact and does a large amount of damage.
It is tiring and causes Burning on the target. Has a chance to cause AoE damage.

Basic Sword Attacks:
Slash is fairly easy to hit with, and does up to 6 cutting damage.
Stab is harder to hit with than slash, and does up to 8 piercing damage.
Whack is easy to hit with, and does up to 5 blunt damage.

Basic Bow Attacks:
Shoot fires an arrow at the chosen enemy, damage depends on the bow and arrow.
Whack is easy to hit with, and does up to 5 blunt damage.
Kickback is harder to hit with than Whack, and does up to 3 blunt damage. Pushes away an enemy and has a chance to stun.
