Oh man.

On Sunday we cleaned/repainted the whole kitchen. it was fun.  And that was before the 20 pizzas, pbj/f,  hugs, trail mix, pictures, contacts, delicious beverages and industrial cleaner.

My hands were stained and shiney yesterday, and started molting today.  I think I overdid the heavy cleaning.  Also Vinyl is no substitute for latex.  Stupid allergic ppls : [

I managed to do more or less every goal I set for myself, and my expectations were met. So, onto my new problems and longer-term goals.

Did some work on a post for a godhood game I really should've done before.

-Got 100% on a programming test, and then 98% on a programming assignment. Fuck yeah.
-Made really spicy thai soup. It was good.
-Biked to school and back

Yesterday was on track to be completely unproductive, but then I went for a run and kept up with my far more athletic brother. Edit: also finished a drawing.

Today has been productive in terms of work so far.

>Got a two hour nap while listening to Tool's Lateralus album today. Must have been really tired from school, I slept through almost all of it.
>checked email
>found a letter email of congratulations on my admission into Texas State University college...from 4/12/2014, so three days ago. So, officially got in, apparently.
>reviewed and practiced "proper" classical guitar posture and playing technique, in preparation for my eventual tryouts to get into TSU's Music School
>practiced "proper" classical guitar playing technique and reviewed a guitar arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon in D, in preparation for an eventual recital I'm going to do in a week or two.
>jammed out on the rhythm guitar part of Death's Voice of the Soul, the classical guitar part. Was fun, and I managed to recall how it went despite not playing that in a long time
>spent in total about an hour playing classical guitar, much of which was spent on the melody of Canon in D. Impressive that it held my attention so long, considering Canon in D isn't a metal, rock, or prog rock song.

>Gave third graders back their tests, everyone did really well, several of them hugged me.
>Third graders made bitchin' Easter scenes out of craft supplies.
>Fourth graders finished their Bob Ross landscapes and my boss was very impressed by their results.
>Watched "Rango" after hearing it wasn't really a kids' film, and it turned out to be pretty funny. LOVED the reference to Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas near the beginning.
>Managed to stay awake during a sleep attack at work.
>Ran into some friends in the supermarket, had an uplifting chat.
>Found a shop that sells jar lids in the size I need to re-use pickle jars, bought a 10-pack.

>Drank a lot of root-beer today. I love root-beer.
>Had a nice chat with my girlfriend - haven't talked to her in three days because she's on a class trip to Japan right now, so our time zones are radically different.
> Advanced the plot of a story.
> Found my old copy of Final Fantasy V.
> Finished setting up for my literature class's Paradise Lost mock trial.
> Did absolutely nothing in any other class.
> Enjoyed a sunny yet cool day!

Today I:

>got an official letter of congratulations recognizing my admission into college. Just need to take care of scholarships, financial aid, budgets, housing, scheduling classes, and tons of other stuff, but hey, progress.
>did some research on how the college handles housing registration, scheduling classes, and all that stuff.
>did research on scholarships
>did some art stuff in school
>helped some friends in math class. Actually helped too, rather than struggle to explain something before awkwardly giving up because I'm bad at explaining.
>hung out with some other friends without feeling awkward, alienated, or unwelcome. Was a nice change of pace.
>2 hour nap after school
>tried meditating for half an hour after waking up this morning. Was really chill, I don't know why I stopped doing that. I'm all out of practice on concentration now.
>played more classical guitar. Half hour session.
>didn't pay games at all today. Still killed time on the internet at some points, but no games. No guilt over playing tons of games when I should've been doing other stuff.

Over the last few days:

• Fixed the family desktop PC
• Did a whole bunch of spriting for my Boundworlds world
• Actually got most of my work done (I'll finish the rest today)
• Made myself some more sculpting tools
• Had some delicious chicken fusilli and subsequently hunted down the recipe
• Sculpted, painted and mounted a miniature for my sister
• Went running with my brother

Technically yesterday, but...

• Fixed a bug with my DSP graph search program related to memory address ranges and its DMA controller
• Filled out and submitted my Ph.D progress report (only after receiving a nag email about it being late...)
• Learned to grill pork chops
• Beat the water temple in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on what's probably my 10th play through

Maybe today I'll get some work done on my university related job and beat the shadow temple in OoT.  One of those is an awful lot more important...
