Good chocolate is nut-chocolate. Hazelnuts or peanuts or whatever, doesn't matter. Dark chocolate and nuts, mmmm.

I like my chocolate like my coffee: as dark as possible. I think the brand I indulge with is 70%. White chocolate is disgusting, milk is worse. Chocolate can be acceptable paired with certain flavors (see: bourbon balls, candies with good fillings from small confectioner's shops, etc.), but if you can find it in a gas station or movie theatre it's probably rubbish. Chocolate cake/frosting/pudding/milk are all atrocities. The few exceptions to this list of perhaps overly strict rules is hot cocoa (which is a wonderful thing and should be shared with everyone), good fudge, and good chocolate-chip cookies.

I hate chocolate. Also, I haven't eaten sugar/corn syrup in like, 3 years. Stuff's bad for you, yo.

For Christmas this year I got both a fancy 100g bar of 73% dark chocolate with bits of hot pepper in it, and a 1 kilogram box of assorted (low quality, but tasty) chocolates.

Why choose quality or quantity when you can have both?

I like dark chocolate, but in small quantities. It's just the sort of thing that gets overpowering really quickly. And generally I gravitate to something chewy and sugary rather than chocolatey.

Finally, white chocolate is not chocolate at all, but some kind of alien mold that takes the place of honest chocolate and tries to blend in. I would rather have nothing than eat white chocolate - although there are worse types of food out there, and I wouldn't starve to death refusing to eat it. Let's just say I'd be willing to smash up bugs and fry them before eating white chocolate.

I've yet to encounter a chocolate I could not eat, but some of the darker ones have really tempted me. I don't really have a preference, beyond "more" and "something other than dark". But I'll still eat dark chocolate, too. Normal american-style chocolate is fine. Fancy other-place chocolate is also good. Syrup, white, cheap, quality, whatever. Bring on the chocolate.

Even if I have been trying to stay away from caffeine and the moral issues that pop up from time to time regarding the chocolate industry are fairly troubling.

One of the nice things about dark chocolate is that it tends to represent a substantial proportion of the fair trade market in chocolate.

I love love love chocolate.  I have a ridiculous sweet tooth, and chocolate fulfills that need nicely.  I love white chocolate, which is little more than cocoa butter, and for the longest time was my favourite kind.  I love dark chocolate, even the kind that are so bitter they cause a twinge or the kinds made with sea salt.  Milk chocolate is classic to me, and the norm from which I measure sweets.

I prefer dark chocolate, then milk chocolate, and then white after that. Adding hazelnuts to dark chocolate makes things MUCH better, though.

Dark chocolate is so absolutely fantastic. Milk chocolate is 'okay' on occasion, too.

I like dark, around 72%+ really does it for me. White is good, but milk just... it tries to be chocolate and just fails. Miserably.
