USEC remembers that Keith is still chatting with Laxmi, who grumbles, "What was that for?"

Keith shrugs.
"I always do that."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"If you say so. So what are you doing out here besides making my job more annoying?"

"I was going to go get some dinner."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Well don't let us stop you." Laxmi stares at the old man for a couple seconds as he tries to initiate a conversation with a trash can. "Especially since we'll probably be following you around for a while."

"Okay then."
Keith shrugs and continues walking.

[USEC_OFFICER]

Sure enough the old man eventually disengages from his fruitless conversation and starts meandering a ways behind Keith, sometimes staying far away and sometimes being close enough to touch them. The lamia barely gives a backwards glance to see if her companion is following before joining Keith. "So you're from around here I assume. Must be pretty nice."

"Yep. It's pretty great."
The area is starting to look nicer and nicer.

"Can't be worse than the place I'm staying at now. But I'm roped into looking after the old geezer, so it's not like I can decamp right now. Still, helps to think ahead..." she says as she looks around at everything.

They seem to be in the rich part of town.

"You're really getting dinner out here?" Laxmi asks as she realizes where they are.

((Yep. He's pretty much a gag character so might as well give him gag stats.))

"Well, it's more a dinner party. You know that politician who was found rigging elections?"

[USEC_OFFICER]

"No. I've got better things to worry about than politics. But what about him?"

"Her. And the guy who threw the party is her rival, ex-rival I mean."
