The demoness looks around in confusion.

Tom gives the demoness a look of stern disapproval.
"And you, I can't believe you would challenge a little kid to DEMON POKER! What the hell is wrong with you!?"

"The fuck? I didn't know that she was a kid!"

Ton plays with her knife and her lantern while the grown-ups talk. She had fun playing poker! She liked cards games. She didn't really understand why cutting the deck didn't actually mean cutting the cards in half, though.

Back at the apartment, all of the lights start flickering. In a really strange pattern, actually.

Tom gives her a shocked look.
"She almost never talks, unless she learned it from someone else she doesn't even know how to fold, and she's about four foot tall! Granted, that last one doesn't automatically mean they're a child but still."

Keith looks around tiredly.

The demoness looks down, ashamed of herself.

Tom glares at her before looking back to Ton.

Ton is making self-entertainment noises as she builds a castle out of her poker chips.

It's a surprisingly elaborate castle. With a moat and everything.

Whatever Tom was about to say is lost in him staring at the castle in shock.

The moat is made of blue poker chips, but it does have a working drawbridge, which is certainly impressive.


The lights are flickering on and off, in different patterns, individually. Which means it ain't the power. It almost reminds you of...morse code? No. That would be all of them. Well, it's certainly rhythmic.

Thus Tom is still stunned.

Keith sighs and goes to see who's messing with the lights.

Altrius is asleep in his room. Well, maybe asleep isn't the right word. Drugged would be a better word. Maja would probably notice a few goblin girls walking up to his Hotel door, which appears to be slightly open.

Strangely enough, there's no one there. ? weird.


Ton is currently pretending her knife is a besieging force, and the lantern is defending, but she starts to get bored and pokes Tom with her knife.

No, not the sharp part.

Keith starts punching the area around the light switch randomly.
