Nightmares are entities that are born from the despair of other people, manifesting into our physical world. They can be killed through magic means or if their host gains hope. A Nightmare's strength depends on the person.
If allowed to grow in strength, they can spread outside their area and influence other people--often to feel despair themselves and commit suicide, further strengthening the Nightmare.
