Blas walks about a mile before calling someone saying "It's Blas, open up the door" and one of the nearby buildings door opens with a gazelle woman leading the way into a room thick with smoke from a cow woman smoking from a pipe. Ascen asks "Got any work" and she replied "We need an enemy asset damaged or uninhabited" she hands Blas a paper of where the building is "hmm, just several kobolds and a weak dryad? whats the catch?" "There is none, now go."

Carrick, his spirits, and Cheru would suddenly see a strange plague doctor man appear with a swirl of black energy, next to Frigid's couch. Only they can sense them. Anyone else who can sense magic could probably sense him too, but not see and hear him.
He turns his head to Carrick.

Assuming Carrick knows a lot of this stuff, he would know that this is Mort Faucheuse, shinigami and leader of the reapers. The Grim Reaper. Him being here himself must mean that something is very important.

Carrick prostrates himself to Mort. Considering that he probably towers over him despite being a hunchback, the image is....awkward.
