Lionan makes a smaller plant version of himself to play with Gelid.

A man walks through the streets, wearing a white shirt underneath a worn-down jacket with a multitude of tears, and thick-layered pants, as well as what seem to be heavy-duty running shoes.

Oh, and a six-foot long sword over one shoulder. It's in a sheath, but the strap is just lazily tucked under one arm, around his shoulder. He's headed for the arena, at the moment.

[SOLDIER First]

He is soon beset upon by a very, very pretty woman with a very red tail and very red wings.
Oh wait, that's actually happening.

"Hello there, handsome.~"

He looks up at, raising an eyebrow, and smiles slightly. The sword seems to twist in his hand and he grimaces.

"Hel-Mmph. Good day to you, miss."

He seems vaguely annoyed at something, and glares at the hilt he holds to keep the sword steady. He continues to walk.

[SOLDIER First]

"It is a very good day now, since I have seen someone as attractive as yourself.~"

Gelid laughs and plays with the plant.
A shadow creeps before the sword man and the succubus as Vel'koz hovers behind them.
 "Hello, mortals."

He smiles with rather less good cheer, though it certainly seems like he'd like to be a bit more friendly with her, as he continues to walk.

"My thanks for the compliment, miss. You are not unattractive yourself, but I'm afraid I can't take you up on what I'm sure you're about to offer."

As the shadow descends, he turns around lazily, still walking, but now walking backwards, still towards the arena, barely missing a step and still quite on target.

"Good day to you as well, then. Afraid only two of us are mortals though."

He rolls his eyes as he says that, smiling as if sharing an inside joke.

[SOLDIER First]

Plant!Lionan has extremely detailed lower anatomy picks up Gelid and carries her on its shoulders.
The succubus frowns.
"Are you su--" oh hey vel'koz.
"..hello."

"Quite an interesting sword you have there, mortal. May I inquire on its legend?"
Gelid laughs.

[SOLDIER First]

Plant!Lionan continues to play with Gelid, but it slows down a little.
Lionan is tired as hell.

"Oh god, now you've done it. He loves to talk about himself. Snarky old geezer, too. But I'd suggest you ask him, since otherwise I'll screw up something or other and he'll harp me about it for weeks."

He smirks, looking at the sword as he keeps walking back. It suddenly jerks downward and he stumbles, landing on his ass.

"Vindictive little bastard..." he mutters.

Vel'koz attempts to tap into the sword's mind.
Gelid doesn't give a fuck. More playing.

[SOLDIER First]

It suddenly jerks downward and he stumbles, landing on his beautiful, beautiful ass.

Gelid should give a fuck that she's falling off of the platform, but whatever her new friend is tired, but whatever.

It is overwhelming, even to Vel'koz, to contact so directly. Before he is forced to shunt himself out of the apparently ancient artifact, he does manage to learn that it is incredibly old, and has thousands of myths about it; each one of which the sword knows every variation of. And in most of them, it has something to do with lightning. It has a similarly large number of names, most of which are associated with one legend or another.

At the moment, apparently, it prefers 'Mabarius'.

Oh, and it has a direct mind link with the boy.
