Carrick hasn't slept. He has stayed awake all night.

Elizabeth is drifting around.
Cheru is making breakfast.

Ascen and Blas walk to the living room chatting about their old hives before Blas asking to Cheru "Whats for breakfast?" and Ascen saying "I'm going to dump sugar on it anyhow"

"Eggs, bacon, sausages, toast. A simple breakfast.

A feast would simply just not be appropriate."

"Back where I'm from we could only eat half of that on rare occasions, but of coarse I was stealing peoples food to make up for that."

He grumbles as he goes to set the table.
