Well, then the funeral happens and stuff.

Now everyone's at the wake. Do whatever.

Frigid is crying her ass off.

Trianna is planting trees out of respect.

Tia is simply watching.

Cheru sits next to Frigid, hugging her.

Miaka is with Trianna. Yukari is standing around.

Carrick and Elizabeth are just....there.

Soarla wanders into the back room where the Ice sculpture of Gelid is. She contemplates.

Said room is where Carrick and Elizabeth happen to be standing. Elizabeth doesn't notice anything, but Carrick can clearly see the blood rune on the sculpture's back.

The ice sculpture is still static.

Soarla uses her Death senses to look for any wandering souls. A certain ice sculpture may become decapitated.

Or not, if Carrick has anything to do with it. Mainly because decapitating a random ice sculpture for no reason is kinda rude.

The blood rune appears to have been... scratched--by long and sharp claws, it seems.

Gelid's soul is indeed here, but cannot enter the vessel.

So, of course, Carrick decides to do the best thing possible. He grabs Gelid's soul if possible and puts her into the lantern for safekeeping.

He then goes off to find Cheru.

He talks to Cheru, Cheru nods and motions Frigid to follow him, before he leads them to another room.
"I thought this might have been unnecessary."
Opening the door, he reveals.....a second ice sculpture of Gelid- he didn't think the first one was a good job, so he made a second one.

He re-carves the blood seal, nodding to Carrick to release Gelid's soul into the room. He does so by opening the lantern and allowing her out.

The eyes of the sculpture glow blue as it moves an arm.
A tiny lamia crawls onto Gelid's shoulder and she begins to cry icy tears.

Frigid just stares.
