"Glwpbil" {Repulse}. A redish black barrier appears around Soarla preventing the bolts and stabs from reaching her as her Sword begins to finish it's awakening. The heart beat has speed up and Magnus would realize that it is too late to stop it from awakening. Violet would begin to sense Soarla as becoming the new Lord Dullahan.

All of them jump back, except for poor Oromis. He seems to be unable to move.

Suddenly, big damn Carrick appears and steps in front of Oromis, shovel in hand.

Tia's eyes widen as she grunts, glaring up at the queen with a neverbeforeseen fury.

"You... Did you just..."

The Queen's eyes are alight with triumph, and she smiles widely.

"Yes. I did. As I told you, I have no intention to harm you; it would make you so much less effective. Your will is mine now. Good luck with your three chances, by the way; I honestly mean that. If you can kill me, and especially if you can kill me here, then I deserve to die, rightly so."

She lets the knot fall back into her hair, and Tia realizes two things; one, what all of the rest of them must mean, and two, that this must be the perfect revenge for the Queen to take on Tia's mother; binding one's daughter to your service? Speaking of which...

"I keep a lawyer on staff for the purpose of ensuring that my instructions cannot be misinterpreted, but for the moment, I will simply give you the ones I've been planning for such a long time. You will not inform your mother that you have been bound to me. You will not inform anyone you have been bound to me, and will take appropriate measures to ensure no one who is not also bound to me, or bound to one who is bound to me, finds out that you have been bound to me. You will speak of trade deals I wished to speak to you of when you make contact with your mother at noon. You will continue to make contact with your mother at noon, and you will tell her that everything went well whilst you were here, if she asks, and if she does not ask you will not speak ill of it. You will not allow her to learn anything that might raise suspicions. You will not make efforts to raise suspicions with anyone, and you will go about your life as if I had not bound you other than following those commands which I have given, am giving, and will give. You will make no attempt to bring harm to the Winter Court or it's members, or to facilitate harming either. You will be return to receive further orders in two week's time by the mortal calendar, under the pretense of following up on trade deals. You will not attempt to circumvent these instructions through any means. Do you understand me clearly, or will I need to repeat my instructions?"

Soarla hits her knees as she lets out a shriek as Machleiman awakens.

Magnus knows the story of Machleiman from when he was a student:

Machleiman, the king of Dulla, the first Dullahan in existence, was said to have consorted with a demon of knowledge and crafts, and, when Machleiman was unable to fulfill his part of the deal, the demon beheaded him and cursed him with immortality. Machleiman, a wise and sly king, had planned on this, for how else was he going to rule his kingdom and continue it's peace. The demon, learning of Machleiman's cunning, challenged the king to a contest of swords and, after winning, stole Machleiman's soul and forged it into the demonic blade it is today.

The sword finally awakens as it sends a shockwave outwards. Soarla stands up, now dawning the Armor of Machleiman and weilding the curse sword. She takes a few steps and passes out.

Carrick withstands the blast, being a hulking undead immortal. When it's over, he merely watches the Dullahan with unwavering eyes.

Someone appears in Frigid's house. As in, just appears about a foot off the floor and then falls.

Soarla eventually sits back up, a look of confusion and realization is apparent on her face. The sword, Machleiman, is still in her grasp.

The Anti-magic squad arrives, albiet late.

Carrick is still watching her, his expression inscrutable.

Carrick would probably dislike her, since she prevents a soul from leaving it's body if she kills the person with a beheading.

Dislike and like is saved for the reapers. He isn't one.

All he knows is that she stops souls from leaving, which prevents him from doing his job.

Russel watches the scene, then the barriers go up.

Tia continues to death glare, silently formulating a plan to retaliate.
 "...Yes ma'am," she says with obedience. Now is not the time to worry--she has a queen to kill.
Magnus just stares with wide eyes. So does Violet. Oromis still doesn't move, and Carrick senses that something is wrong with him.

"The dulluhan lord..."
"Mmm, that was good~..." Gualsa says with a happy sigh.
