Without warning, once Ton had come within about arm's reach, her knife is in her hand again, curiously void of blood on it, and she says a single word as she stabs him in the thigh. The wound, once again, tries to stretch by using the man's wrongdoing as energy...and finds itself stumped. It's just a (rather large, deep, and needing medical attention) relatively normal stab wound. The tonberry shows her first sign of emotion, looking very confused at this. "Doink?"

Well, the giant golem picks up Ton and places her away from Tom, without hurting her. Tom took about...20 damage? That didn't hurt too much? I dunno.

Altrius relaxes in the infirmy. Twas a fun and glorious fight.

Tom's eye twitches before he goes down on his good knee and pulls out Temperance, placing the card on the wound and waving off the golem should it try to remove Ton again.

Temperance:  Heals damage, healing directly coincides with mana spent with two mana equaling on HP.

Wound's healed for 40 MP. The golem's face remains one of disapproval.

Tom stands up and looks at the small girl with disapproval clear on his face.
"... Okay, what gives?"

Ton just stands there silently for a minute, watching him. He wasn't dead. Why wasn't he dead? She was sure she stabbed him right. He was human, wasn't he? Humans were bad. Humans hurt monsters, and she was the vengeance for the dead. So why wasn't he vengeanced? Hmmm...

! Maybe he wasn't human! Maybe he just looked human! There were lots of monsters who did that, she knew. It would explain why he had healed the wound easily...oh no! In that case, she had hurt a monster for no reason! She had to make it right.

She walked towards him again, knife gone once more, lantern burning a pinkish-purple. Without setting it down, she hugged him. The lantern was pleasantly warm against his back/leg(depending on position).

Then she stepped back, looking down at bare feet,and tugged her hood up. In the clearer lighting, it was easier to see the look of shame on her face.

"...sowwy..."
