He seems to be thinking of it as a joke.

Kyle shrugs.
"What, I want to reinforce good behavior. Also, I have a soft spot for cute."

"Not this bear."

Karl looks confused.
"... But you're a fox..."

"...do you really think I'm just a kid to be disciplined and admired for their cuteness?" she says as she glares at Kyle.

"No. I think you're a person who will be influenced by rewards and punishment like anyone else. I also happen to think you're adorable but most of the women here are."

[SOLDIER First]

"I meant you.
I'm not moving my legs."

Karl looks confused.
"Why not?"

"Because I...
I... oh, never mind."

Lionan adjusts his legs so Karl can sit down.

Tia lets out a sigh and mutters an apology.

Lionan continues being shirtless on the couch.

"It's perfectly fine... Let me guess, you normally get treated like that?"
