Cheru still won't budge about the secret.

When Cheru opens his eyes, he will find himself a hundred feet above Madness.

He grumbles.
"Dropping me from a large height will splatter my physical body all over the sidewalk, force me to take ages to reform and make me no more inclined to tell you a thing."

 "What, you think I'm trying to pry secrets out of you? I'm just showing you a glimpse of the city from above. Look, it's the Vice Casino!" she says, pointing out a large casino with flashing neon lights everywhere.

He nods, taking in the sights but not saying anything.

Tom is playing solitare in the house.

He notices the huge stone castle of Magicsteady Academy on the far side of the city, away from all of the lights. He also notices the main goverment building in the center of the town--a large metal tower erected in the center of the city which raises high above. And at the top rests the very center of knowledge in Madness, only available to those who win the COLORS contest and very high officials--the Data Zone.

Kyle decides to go get an application for the magicsteady police thing.

The girl hands him a generic application and waiver form, explaining that he must go through training and all of that.

Kyle goes through it makong sure to read the fine print and any other things that may surprise him if not read through completely.
