Bot Ascen and Zach were just messing around with magic and alchemy on rocks to see if they can make gems from rocks. How they did this was making heat and pressure and alchemic circles changing the properties of the rock and its states to try to make a gemstone.

What they get appears to be a strange mineral left behind, a mix of a bunch of things. Not a gemstone.

If Ascen knew that Sapphire was an aluminium oxide, she could probably transmute some.

Zach tries to remember what gems are made of, remembering emeralds have a chemical make up of beryllium, aluminum, silicon, and oxygen. Zach and Ascen then try to create an emerald with this in mind.
