Where is this? No doctors? No cold metal to scrape flesh and whisper in sleep?

She sagged onto her knees, claws digging into the wall to keep herself upright.

I escaped glass tube, doctors, before. Will not go back.

Cheru growled in his throat, although his face was less angry. He understood what that was like, if only vaguely.
"Then do you need a healer of some sort? You NEED help and while I can bandage you up if you like, you're weak, you need food, and you need rest."

Heal, then. But not you. Too large. Threatening.

She raised a single claw and pointed over Cheru's shoulder - at Maria.

Small one. You. I will not harm.

The hand descended, the effort too much to keep it up.

Cheru looked between her and Maria, tossing his knives aside and into hammerspace or wherever he took them from in the first place.
"Would you prefer I shrank, if Maria is not willing to heal you?"

Maria glances at Cheru uncertainly, her skin now back to its normal colour. Finally she says, _{"I'll do it. If someone told me what to do."}

He nods, presdigitating bandages and plasters into his hands.
"Wrap these around her bigger cuts, and plaster these around her smaller ones. I'll go look for a medicine box." He walks off, keeping an eye on the newcomer and Maria.

K-3T slumps into the corner, stretching out her legs, still studded with glass. The laser burn mainly cautaurised itself, but the spine still stuck in her back still leaks the strange gelatinous blood.

Cheru comes back.
"Keep the bigger shards in. It'll keep her from bleeding to death. We'll pull them out when Trianna comes back. You can pull the smaller ones out, but keep the big ones in, just in case."

Maria takes the bandages and plasters, and stares at Cheru as he walks off, before turning to K-3T. She hesitantly walks up to the woman, holding her hands out to show that she's just holding the bandages. Her skin flashes several different colours before settling for the colour of the wall, as if she wants to blend in and not have to do this job. But she walks forwards anyway, and inspects K-3T's wounds before cautiously beginning to tend to them.

Cheru keeps an eye on both of them as he walks back into the kitchen to cook lunch.

K-3T hisses at the removal of each shard of glass, but makes no hostile movements.

Suddenly she speaks.

Small one. They designated me K-3T. What did the doctors call you, little one?

Maria gives a little start at her voice, but replies, _{"Maria Toetje, as in the pudding. Is K-3T really your name?"}

Her eyes were glassy and unfocused. Property of department K. Had been destroyed twice in testing - on third reformation. T, material testing group.
