I've been looking at it, and judging from the work of Dwarf Fortress that I have played, is LCS good?

That's an impossibly vague question to give a real answer to.

LCS is a fun and enjoyable game if you're the type for it. I know that different people enjoy Dwarf Fortress for different reasons, and whether or not you will enjoy LCS would depend on what about DF that you like.

No. Judging from the multitude of hours you played DF, LCS is going to be shallow and feature bare. And more or less in the wrong genre. You might still enjoy it, though (a lot of people do). The greatest barrier to entry is ASCII graphics, and you're already past that particular prejudice.

It's good and I like it because it's good.

I personally can recommend LCS. If you've played DF then you have most likely RPed a bit about the life of your fortress. With LCS, you can pretty much do whatever you want, there is no wrong or right way. It generally is a game with less micro-management until you start getting large amounts of liberals, but like said before, if you can handle DF and ASCII LCS is accessible to you.

Alright, I think I'll give it a go then. Also, yes. I would like to hear something disturbing.

In my own biased opinion, LCS is worth playing through to completion at least once.

Considering I played LCS prior to DF, yes I think it's worth at least trying.

LCS is fairly straightforward: You'll probably know right away whether or not it's your cup of tea.  I'd suggest the very first thing you do is go on a site action.  You'll either get to do lots of cool stuff, or die doing lots of cool stuff.  Either way, you'll probably be hooked.
