Altrius does not wear fancy suits. At all. Except for parties.

Soarla and Ryaku never wears fancy dress. Soarla usually wears armor and ryaku is a jinko and as such wears skimpy clothing normally, kinda like Maja.

Murcheadh's clothing is basically a glamour, as is his entire human form, to a sense(and to a point, his horse form too; faeries are weird), so it doesn't get dirty. Plus, he's a water fae; cleaning things is easy. Though salt typically gets left behind.

SO. Question for all y'alls. In my headcanon, everyone has a characterising aspect to their magic that gives a telltale sign that it's X, no matter what magic they're doing or how they're doing it(unless you're doin' some fancy shit to obscure it with like blood magic or somesuch).
Typically, this is a smell, though it could be an emotion or a taste or some other thing to do with one sense or another, like a particular color or sound. So what are y'all's characters signatures, to speak?

Murcheadh's is the smell of old blood and fresh seawater. Ton's is a feeling of underwhelming dread and an urge to hug a cactus or somehting similarly painful, or the smell of a clean swamp and candles, if she's using it for less stabby purposes. Not scented candles, just candles. Niisa still hasn't used her 'magic' yet, so that will become apparent later. The gremlin(oh god I forgot my own character's name)'s is the smell of burned out appliances and always leaves faint afterimages in people's eyes, no matter how dim the magic.

Miaka's smells of flowers and consists of happiness. Elizabeth smells of ashes, Carrick's smells of corpses and feels like impending dread.

Frigid is very cold and smells of mint.

Tia smells of lavender and happiness.

Trianna smells of flowers and just pure nature, while also radiating a happy aura.

Dex smells obviously of blood and feels quiet.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a smell, remember. The blood aspect of Murcheadh's is as much taste as it is smell.

Smells are just easiest :p

Altrius smells and tastes like fire, Ryaku smells like Lightning, and Soarla smells like Death, but tastes like sunshine and flowers. She's... odd....

When you go near Magnus, you can already feel the static shocking and his aura of pure potential power.

Clive smells of copper and metal from his guitar strings.

Oromis smells of moss and stone.

Violet smells like... bubblegum.

Maja's smells like sweat because she doesn't actually use magic.

Maria's magic has the tang of metal and grease because, you know, magitech. She also doesn't use magic in the same way as someone like Cheru or Tia.

Not really, she just merges magic and technology together. She doesn't really control it like your gremlin. So it's not so much magic as being really good at making stuff.

And yeah, Maja doesn't doesn't give a shit. She's a dragon, she's used to it. Or at least assumes that people want to kill her for her treasure hoard.

If it's what I think you're talking about it's for something similar different though. "For me it was a Tuesday." In other words the horrible event for the protagonist was just another unimportant day for the antagonist. Or something like that.
