And the body?

If it can't attack it is usually because it has no thought body part.

oh, right the body. Um it uses the kizaurun head (which is of course confirmed to work) and this:

[BODY:SPINED_SNAKE]

   [BP:FRONTAL_COIL:frontal coil:STP][UPPERBODY][CATEGORY:UPPERBODY]
      [DEFAULT_RELSIZE:1600]
   [BP:BASILISK_TAIL:tail:STP][CONTYPE:UPPERBODY][CATEGORY:TAIL][LOWERBODY]
      [DEFAULT_RELSIZE:10000]

   [BP:TAILSCYTHE:Tail_scythe:STP][CON:TAILZ][LIMB][SKELETON][CATEGORY:SPINE]
         [SMALL]
      [DEFAULT_RELSIZE:900]
   [BP:NEURALCOLUMN:neuron column:STP][CON:CHEST][INTERNAL:CHEST][SKELETON][CATEGORY:NEURONS][THOUGHT]
      [DEFAULT_RELSIZE:215][SMALL]

      [BP:NEURALSPINE:neural_spines:STP][CON:HEAD][SKELETON][SOCKET][CATEGORY:SPINE]
         [DEFAULT_RELSIZE:90]
      [BP:BACKSPINE:back_spines:STP][CONTYPE:UPPERBODY][SKELETON][SOCKET][CATEGORY:SPINE]
         [DEFAULT_RELSIZE:90]
      [BP:HIPSPINE:hip_spines:STP][CONTYPE:LOWERBODY][SKELETON][SOCKET][CATEGORY:SPINE]
         [DEFAULT_RELSIZE:90]
      [BP:TAILSPINES:tail_spines:STP][CON:BASILISK_TAIL][SKELETON][SOCKET][CATEGORY:SPINE]
         [DEFAULT_RELSIZE:90]

They DO have the head because when I controlled it it had all body parts. Also, im more worried about getting them to be embark-able than being able to attack really.

I'm not quite sure why your civ is not capable of starting with your creatures. They can use cave creatures, and can tame any type of pet, so they should be able to use them.

Your attacks have BODYPART:BY_TOKEN:SNOUT but there is no body part with the ID of SNOUT, unless there is one on the head.

To wrestle, you need a [LIMB] body part or a [GRASP] body part.

Are you sure all parts are connected properly? Because I don't see a part called TAILZ for your tail scythe to attach to, nor do I see a part called CHEST for the neural column. Additionally, the tag is just [INTERNAL], and does not take arguments.

from what i understand the [FANCIFUL] tag means they will only show up in engravings etc.
try removing [FANCIFUL] tag...

All megabeasts and some good and evil creatures have fanciful, I know that much.

Though the creature token page on the wiki mentions that fanciful is not compatible with [COMMON_DOMESTIC], so there is a chance that it interferes with world-gen taming as well, but I don't know.

It's worth a try, at least.

E: Creatures that are fanciful.

I only just noticed that it doesn't have [LARGE_ROAMING], or a set [POPULATION_NUMBER:min:max]. It will probably need a [CLUSTER_NUMBER:min:max] as well, to control how many appear on the map at once.

OK! I will get back to testing that soon. But first, I want to work on castes and birth and all that.
things I need to do:
1) build a workshop which can generate new creatures. It really doesn't matter how this is done. I am thinking having it make an object which transforms into the creature
2) make it so that there are two castes with genders, but that they have a reaction which turns them into the asexual version. This should be so common that its almost assured that anything I meet will be asexual by the time I actually look at it.
3) A workshop which transforms the normals into either a warrior or leader caste, at the cost of my Cyitaern for leader and Steel for warriors. Both are objectively better than normal ones. The warrior and leader gets tarsal spurs while others dont they get metal scales while others dont, the leader gets steel-level scales and the ability to breath... either fire, or preferably something that just ignites instantly. And finally the leader should have some form of natural ability other than that up for suggestions for that.

The workshops for making new Kizaurun would be 'spawning pools' and the workshops for caste transformations would be 'ritual chamber's.

After all this, theres even more to do.

A specialized workshop for creating Aerkhims.
If possible, a specialized workshop to engrave runes into weapons. (if not possible, then making an object which was a weapon that was created with runes on it.)
A workshop to generate runestones and tablets.
a workshop to generate the approximate equivalent of 'explosives'. I know it isn't possible to actually detonate them but I was thinking something that would just have similar effects and ignition. Also creates some easily-produced easily-lite flammables

and finally, a workshop which can create sacred ashes with a corpse, flammable liquid, and stone. High value. Later on will add some religious stuff and im thinking simulate consecrated ground (using effects similar to gnomeblight)

[ATTACK:BITE:BODYPART:BY_TOKEN:SNOUT]

the BY_TOKEN:SNOUT should be BY_CATOGORY:JAW then it will attack it think.
