The guard huffs and returns to his post, looking just as disgruntled as always.

The night progresses as customers begin to trickle out of the tavern and back to their beds for the night. Before you know it, the inn is quiet and dark. Your beds are meager in terms of comfort, but are fairly large, and able to comfortably fit even T'skrat comfortably, which is a feat in and of itself.
You all sleep uneasily; visions of death, destruction and decay fill your minds, and those of you who can sweat wake up drenched in it. Eventually there is a banging on each one of your doors. A deckhand from the ship you'll be leaving on is letting you all know that they're getting prepared to leave, and could use some help.

Kyle quickly wipes off the sweat looking slightly disgusted.

Tskra't rolled off the bed with a thud - despite their size, they still were not quite high enough for him to stand with ease. He dresses and arms himself with a practiced speed. Whilst gathering his equipment, he pauses, remembering the head in the bag.

'....Poor choiicce.'

On the way to the docks he drops the head in a gutter.

Jan goes downstairs and hands her new flask over to the innkeeper.
"Heyo, can I get this filled up with something strong?"

Jerold smirks and takes your flask, putting it on a counter behind the bar. He then grabs and uncorks two bottles and carefully pours a bit of each into the flask. "Mix two parts Kilmoorian rum and three parts Serisian whiskey, and ye get a drink that'll knock a Thunder Lizard on its arse. Smells terrible, but tastes fine, even if it does burn like dragon fire goin' down."
He closes the flask, shakes it thouroughly, and places it on the bar in front of you, still firmly grasping it. "Normally I'd charge about 30 geld for this, but I like ye, so I'll drop it down to 10. I'd give it to ye fer free, but this stuff don't come cheap."

[Sirus]

Jan looks offended.
"Shoulda told me that afore ye filled it, ya great swindler! Now, a man called Philip said that he'd cover our expenses for rescuing his brother or whatever, so go to him for the tab. In the meantime, I'll be taking me flask now."

Jerold chuckles, "I was like you once. Yer cocky, got yer head in th' clouds and ye think yer invincible. Take the flask. It's on me."
As you take the flask, he retains his grasp for a moment, "Don't get yerself killed. Yer a good kid." He lets go and watches you walk out the door, but before you're out of earshot, he yells after you, "An' don't forget to give 'em hell!"

Garashn is ready to go when everyone else is.

Jan took the flask with a chuckle.
"Y'know, I think I like you, old-timer. Don't you worry, I'll be teaching these undead beasties to fear the name Darkeyes!"

The ship is... well, it's a piece of crap. It'll get you where you need to go, and probably carry a couple tons of trade goods with you, but it has maybe two working cannons and out of the two masts it has, only one seems like it could withstand full sail without snapping in half. The sails are a little moth-eaten, but serviceable, and one of the deckhands is already busy patching a replacement. It would probably not be a good idea to get into a fight using this ship; it probably wouldn't even stand a single broadside.
The crew, however, is a pretty hardy bunch. Most have been sailing for quite a while, and don't hesitate to tell stories of when this ship was the fastest in The Isles. The captain even tells you that they once took down the biggest sea serpent in history using this vessel, although that's probably just a tall tale she uses to impress people. She does say it's how the ship got its name, however, the Sea Snake, which is written in large silver embossed letters across the stern, with a blue snake running underneath.

What do I know about the Sea Snake? I assume I can do a lore check or something similar.
