Because I want something to display on my desktop so I can look at it and know I did something with my life.

You got that award on the idea you killed a writer, thus becoming the "biggest winner(s) of them all" now that it appears to no longer be the case you no longer fulfill the requirements to receive the prize.

I will hold onto it until you or someone else meets the requirements to be the "biggest winner of them all", one of which appears to be killing a writer. It will be perfectly safe sitting on my desktop until the day comes that you can reclaim it.
