That's, uh, a lot of APC. And trucks. Also artillery.
People in the comments section claim it's only a battalion sized force.

There's at-least two battalions from what I could count.

I don't suppose you are surprised by Russian forces being in Ukraine at this point?

i wonder whats the russian definition for battalion is, because armies are structured differently across the world, and some terms are mixed.

So, Here, A battalion is 3-5 companies, a company is 3-5 platoons.
A platoon has 3-5 vehicles/tanks (usually, 1 commander, 1 Sergeant, 1-3 squad commanders).
a company has 12-15 vehicles, (usually, the 3 platoons vehicles, plus the company commander and his deputy vehicles, and a medical one).
a battalion has approx 36-50 vehicles (usually, additional forward command vehicles, medical, communications, supply, intelligence, etc).

There were, what, 150 vehicles there? could be what here is called a brigade (3-5 battalions).

So, going by that logic, I'm not brainwashed fanatic? Cool  :)

The fact that UR gets excessive on a pretty much daily basis doesn't make anything you say any less excessive.

I'm sorry if I'm overanalyzing, but I couldn't help myself. The road sign they are travelling past indicates that the armor isn't moving towards Ukraine. To me it looks like it's... rather kind of moving around Ukraine, at most.

They're passing a road sign that indicates 11km to Krasny Sulin, 17km to Gukovo, and 36km to Zverevo. Frankly, I can't find a matching road on Google Maps that they could be driving on, that leads out of Ukraine, that sign kept in mind - which would indicate that the armor is moving towards the border. Of course, keep the usual "I am not a qualified <insert profession here>" disclaimer in mind, so I can be wrong. Still, to me so far it looks like they're either repositioning, or withdrawing.

Left is liberal and anti-government, right is conservative and pro-government.
It varies from country to country. Here, left is socialism (communism at far left), right is moderate/conservative (extreme nationalists at far right). Liberals are at the center.

Left is anti-government, except when it's pro-government, and liberal, except when it's not. Right is conservative, except when it's communist (example - China), and pro-government, except when it's anti-government, and everyone is center.

I usually go with "reactionary versus progressive". It's very loose, so it tends to fit most countries, as long as you keep in mind where they come from.

So in Communist China or in the Soviet Union (and to a lesser extent, former Soviet Union as well) "right-wing" would be Communist, as they do not want to change (reactionary) or want to go back to communist. Of course, there are non-communist right-wingers in the former USSR, such as Putin and gang, so it's not perfect.

And left-wing would be people interested in changing things, or in expanding certain new changes, such as the welfare state, or civil rights.

It's very crude, of course, and I'm sure you can poke holes, but for a single paragraph, non-dissertation, it tends to fit most non-extremes.

Other ones I've heard of are "equality versus liberty," people right wing want to expand liberty at the expense of equality, and left-wing vice versa. This one tends to be mostly American, and a bit European as well. In China it would not fit as well, and probably not in Russia though I do not know much about Russia.

Another one is "stability versus experimentation", which is less clear, but what I mean is that the right-wings on this scale want to maintain stability and order in society, and the left wing are willing to sacrifice (some) stability to try out new methods of organization that they think would be better suited.

Keep in mind that on all these scales except perhaps the "equality/liberty" scale I would be considered left-wing, so that's my bias. And as for the equality/liberty, that's only because I want to cut down welfare to a single basic income, which I hope* would increase equality so that everyone has a chance without sacrificing liberty so that "everyone is the same". Just as long as everyone can survive day to day and [eventually, like when we have robotic infrastructure so we don't need everyone in the workforce] also be able to do what they love/expand their knowledge, even when it's not profitable... I have no -real- problem with people living grandly. Just... not so over the top, and not while people starve. In that sense, I'd be more centrist/left-leaning.

*(no real proof beyond Mincome in Dauphin, Manitoba. Pretty stellar for the scale it was, but it's no country-wide roll-out)

Left is liberal and anti-government, right is conservative and pro-government.

Though, depending on where you are, Socialism could be pro-government and left wing. I believe Ukrainian Ranger experiences this in Ukraine where the opposition is really quite right wing.

Well, in Poland, our left-wing party (SLD for other Poles here) is reactionary, and pretty much everyone is more stability than experimentation. Aside from - surprise - quite hard-core right wing parties (and I mean right-wing as in totally free market, minimum government, minimum law style, not Hitler-loving).
It's historical; left-wing was always 'socialist' here, but for a while Commies ruled. So now reactionary means 'back to commies', and it is left, as it is socialistic.
Actually, I really dislike left wing, right wing rhetorics.
