Of course, this analogy assumes that human-made things are some how not-of-Nature. Perhaps they are made out of exotic matter?

I believe that in this context the phrase natural means not man-made.

Nothing really new here, except for a couple of things. The EU has cut tariffs down to nearly nothing to help relieve economic pressure on Ukraine. The interim government is also announcing that a referendum may be held, seemingly in hopes of conducting it without outside influence.

Cyanide is in apple-seeds for Chrissakes.
Cyanide is one of the most common toxins plants use for self-defense. I think hundreds if not thousands of plants contain it. Luckily our body is quite good at handling low doses of it.

Wave of pessimism have passed. Guys, when you see more defeatism like that from me... please  slap me in the face through your monitor :)
Don't give up, UR. Nothing is eternal, Putin's regime included. And when it starts teetering on a brink, people like you and me will march on kremlin and do to Putin what your compatriots did to Yuschenko.

Statistically speaking I would say your odds of survival are actually very good, don't be so pessimistic.

@Owlbread - the main problem with Putin is the simple fact: West doesn't understand Russia, but Russia understands West. This simple rule is like love of money: a root of all things evil. It's like playing chess where only one person knows the rules, and the second gets electrocuted and loses a turn whenever she moves a piece wrong way. And she is blindfolded for good measure, but herself no less. Say, would you guess that any Western country will go to war over any non-NATO member, when they get invaded by Russia? They won't, and Putin knows that. Which means he can do whatever he damn well pleases, as long as he waves his dick tanks around. And politicians west of the Iron Curtain still don't understand that if you want to stop Russia from waving dick tanks, you need a bigger set of balls attack planes (look: A-10 Thunderbolt). I am guessing that more detrimental to Putin's plans to take over countries around Russia are problems with supply (you need, like, tons of stuff delivered with each soldier if he is to perform some sort of occupation duty), than whatever West tries to do.
The funny thing is, West was hoping for Russia to go western since at least Peter I the Puny (know in Russia as the Great, God knows why), and it is still what it was back then - eastern barbaria, place untouched by democracy. We all could use a Reagan now, guys. Really.

Come on now BlindKitty, no need for such tone. You do make some good points and yes, there is much to be said about the state of democracy right now in Russia, but emotions are running high as it is in this topic, no need to add fuel to the fire by trowing rude words around. Really.  :(
