[5] You guys jump so hard you smash through the roof and land in King Koopa's throne room on the second floor. [1] King Koopa is massive, more than several hundred feet tall, his body is covered in hard yellow scales and his tail ends in a ball covered in flaming spikes. He also has four hugely muscled arms that end in rough-knuckled fists, the two lower ones lazily cradle an oversized flat-headed hammer. [5] He's sleeping loudly, with a blanky that could cover the entirety of a small village pulled over his head. [2] There's also like two thousand armored troopas [4] but they're all busy playing with shells at the foot of the throne.
Thus far the two of you are unnoticed by the occupants of the room. The throne room is big, really big. There are clouds visible near the distant ceiling. The room is shaped like a hall, it's dozens of meters wide, and hundreds long. At one end is King Koopa, of course, and the other is a big huge door with ring handles the size of buildings. Behind the throne is a huge tapestry depicting a caricature of King Koopa that's even larger, nastier, and tough-looking than the one on the throne breathing fire and eating toads alive and stepping on half ruined houses. The curtain ends in rope tassels woven thicker than tree trunks which end a few dozen feet from the floor. And in that space between the stone floor and the tassels are what would appear, to someone of the King Koopa's size, to be mouseholes with doors, from which koopas occasionally emerge, letting escape a cacaphony of light and noise until they are finally shut. Lining the halls are huge stained glass depictions wreathed by gilded curtains of the different species that make up Lord Bowser's army.
