Current character idea is a flying samurai dude focused on combat. Sounds like a plan?

Flying as in faerie? Or flying as in magic spells? Either would be... difficult. Faeries are pretty frail and can't do much damage with martial weapons. They make better tricksters or mages. Focusing on one effect in a school of magic seems like it would be a waste of skill points when you could use that magic for other things. Also, dragons are not playable.

Well for you to have that I would also need a pretty good story reason from you as to how your character earned enough favor with the gods to be granted that kind of gift. I'm not saying I'm discouraging it, but that's kind of a heavy thing to give out.
