I'll have access to my rulebook this weekend, I guess I'll make my character then.
Most likely I'll play a fighter, rogue or ranger.
You could always just use this

Well, I could, but... I have that big, juicy rulebook just sitting there and I'd love to finally use it for something. :P
I might just use the SRD, though, I dunno.

I know what you mean, atm, I use a -cough- and the paizo/pf20srd sites. I would love to get the book, but I just know that it would sit there unused 99% of its existence...

Anyway, updated front page with some extra information too...

Question: I'm looking at the Tattooed Mystic prestige class. It requires the Magic/Mage's Tattoo feat according to the d20pfsrd page for the class. The Varisian Tattoo feat seems to be literally identical (and actually, now that I look at the URL for Mage's Tattoo, it's actually called Varisian Tattoo). Can I use Varisian Tattoo to qualify for the Tattooed Mystic class?

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Yes you can because of Spoilers... :P No seriously, you spotted a huge hint towards some of the background behind Varisian culture...

Well I... Uh.  Whoops? Didn't mean to spoil anything, was just curious about some mechanics. Although now that I know it has the potential to be story-relevant, I'll definitely be going tattooed mystic!   :P

TBH not all that relevant for this Adventure Path, but in a later one that is called a "Sequel" due to in liturally starting around 2 or so years after this path it does become very relevant. Regardless, you did find something interesting to go off too...

1. Right. I can change it if you want so she's from the local area. The whole drow descent was to get white hair to link into being a white haired witch before I decided to go with a standard one.

2. How about the lone wolf feat? That doesn't exclusively sound like from the local area, and it fits in with her childhood.

3. Sundark Goggles. If it's just 3.5 I apologise, I'm just going off internet resources.

4. Roger that, familiar changed.

5. Could limit us to a single trait or something.

It doesn't look like there's a Pathfinder version of Sundark Goggles (judging by this thread). Well, there is, but the pricing is orders of magnitude off.

Mostly what I've seen with searches is GMs just using the 3.5 Sundark Goggles as is.

Heh, you don't have to find a reason to have a coloured hair style. But no worries. The only problem with the backstory is that its quite difficult to explain away the reasons on your appearance at Sandpoint. Have another look through the playerguide I relinked in the first page, it might help understand the area a bit more. As I said before, I am not a highly skilled DM so things like that are extra hard to do...

That makes sense...

Looks like it was 3.5 and stuff, but looking into them again, I will allow them, their cons outway their pros tbh...

4. Roger that, familiar changed.
Cheers, wow you really want that initiative bonus don'tcha. :P

5. Could limit us to a single trait or something.
Check first post, including some Campaign Traits I found...
That goes for everyone too...

Well, from what I can tell initiative is the only thing I can't improve all that easily.

I've had a growing interest in trying Pathfinder.  I've only ever flirted with tabletop games and I think this is a format that would be good for learning since it's hard to find and get people to play in my area.  Being completely new to forum (or PbP, RtD, etc.) games, what kind of time frame are you expecting for this group?  I'm pretty flexible as far as time goes but I'm curious if you have any general structure to keep things moving. Assuming you're still accepting, I'll start reading through the player guide and working on a character sheet.

Just  a reminder. Backgrounds which include unique chaser/chased characters have a very high chance of never appeaeing. Including names and stuff may help you create your character but in preset adventure paths, a DM requires a higher skill level then I possess. Sometimes its better to look into creating your characters with less information about their past when it comes to names and such...

You also have a sling but no ammo and as far as I can see its not paid for.

Where did you find that Spell Tattoo thing? The only info I could dorectly find via PaizoPRD and prd20pf sites were that they are something akin to creating/buying scrolls. Making the actual value close to 300gp or so.

You also still need to decide on your multitalented class for being halfelf.

Again please remember to link some outsourced information.

Oh. And I might need to look into those bonus spellslot stuff cause I must have been making MY spellcasters wrong or something.

Oh and you have three cantrip slots, you have only filled 2 atm...

Atm I am at work away from my sourcematerials so I think there is something else that I have forgotten atm...

Bonus spells from high spellcasting stats (high int in the case of witches) only apply if you have access to that level of spells. For example, you get a bonus level 1 spell starting at level 1, a bonus level 2 spell starting at level 3, etc.
