As I am sure you are aware, a ship from the doomed naval expedition returned to her berth yesterday evening. The captain claims that the antarctic ice claimed the majority of the fleet.

Although this is a tragedy, I invest a large portion of my personal fortune into this expedition. As such, I am ordering a military expedition to the last known location of our ships. This voyage will be led by you, and you will be accompanied by your regulars. Please retrieve anything of value you can find. You leave in 2 days.

On this day, a military expedition from the homeland arrived, consisting of Eight Regulars of the Soapyboar Vangard. Their skills both in defense and in maintaining the fort will be invaluable. Work on our temporary chambers and offices should begin with haste. I have given the position of Captain of the Guard to their commanding officer, Captain Merker Benson. Keep up the good work, men.

My and my men will assist in the domestic tasks until we have the required equipment to begin training. I hope you will welcome us into your home.

Masons Shops, Lumber Mills, and Carpentry Shops all up and running. We may yet survive down here. The Captain from Soapyboar insists that we need walls to defend against possible invaders, and Ingiz says the ice itself is the best candidate. We will need to devise a way to "farm" the water from the aquifer into ice.. I'll leave that to the engineers.

This fort can't be done without a working ice generator, so I give up. I'll try again with another type of embark >.<

Couldn't you have just dug endless ice out of the ocean? Or is it frozen all the way down? Too far away from the rest of your fort?

The problem was, it wasn't infinite, and I had a plan to use magma to melt all the ice to turn it into, sort of, a dock for my ships.
