I didn't even look at the tournament score things before it was all over last time. Didn't effect my play at all. Might give them a go this time, could be fun.

Hmm, well the banner things definitely add fun to the whole proceedings - they really helped me get better a crawl too, as some of them encourage quite different play styles... most obviously the gelatinous ones. Back when I was definitely a noob, in my first tourney, trying to get I think 7 (9?) different R/C combos to level 9 was a real challenge - so much so that I had to plan out which species to pair with harder professions. Hah, those were the days.

Now I have 3 tourney wins under my belt (still no more than 4 runes tho), it all feels less innocent, and I agonise much more over whether to play around with the banners or try to bank a win.

That will be necessary once we have enough people to fill out two expert teams of 6. Somehow I doubt that will happen.

The tournament will be ongoing until the 27th, so you can still be in if you get some play time on the week after 20th.

I'd love to try this again! I remember this was a lot of fun a few years ago. Put me in advanced - I won once, and got three runes another time, but I haven't been very successful in a long time (well, mostly because I haven't played, but...)

Looks like I've been shifted to lead for the Intermediate/beginners. Works for me. If you have no problems leaving me there, I can get my rc file configured. Do we have a naming scheme yet?

Not sure if this matters, but you have my username down on the OP as "un67" when it's really "Un67".

Not sure it matters but I'll fix it anyway.

So the OP should now have the three teams with designated captains. Those who know what to do, do it.
Everyone else, read the first link in the OP. You need to add a little text to your rcfiles depending on who's your team captain (accessed via the server interface, from what I remember).

If your crawl server username doesn't match the one in the OP, let me know. Team captains need to know your crawl nick so they can add you correctly to their team.

Also, I've moved from leading the Nobles to leading the Miners. I'm taking that as a promotion.

Speaking of that, crawl player must wonder what kind of revolutionary people we are when seeing the tournament results with the nobles being our least favorite class.
