Any important advice about 0.14 any of you guys want to give someone who's been on a long break from Crawl?

Well I tried it last week with an easy TrBe who got lucky, and let me tell you the depth (5 lvl deep and replaces dungeon from level 15, need a rune to enter, zot is at the end) is pretty hard. A lot harder than the dungeon used to be (I died and was not expecting that at all).

Yeah, the depths is pretty hardcore - I haven't reached it for a while (like, pretty much back when the runelock was introduced, in Vaults, so maybe it got toned down a wee bit) but it kinda feels like how D27 used to feel like, but it comes 10 levels earlier. Basically, the runelock itself is not really necessary IMO, because the depths are badass enough that you want to have at least cleared two lair branches for XP before you hit them anyway.

I have died in the Depths twice I think (and haven't beaten Trunk since the runelock stuff was added, but then, I haven't played for a fair old while).

The runelock is on the Vautls, not the depths, right ?

I think they changed it that way because the Depths entrance was hard enough that you would be able to get a rune, and because needing a "key" to enter the Vaults aws a nice touch.

Yeah yeah, sorry for the confusion, in the current trunk, and .14 when its released, Vaults is runelocked, and comes before the Depths.
When the Depths were first introduced, the runelock was on D15, and Vaults were below the lock.

No, I forgot my password and the crawl people reset it only this morning. I'll fix the rcfile later today.

Right now we have three teams of six, which is as high as a team can go. During the last tournament we had a fourth team with less than six guys, we can do that again. For now you'll be in it alone but we had latecomers in the last tourney too so.
I'll update the OP for your teamname in a sec.

I edited my rcfile with the names from the OP. If your crawl nick is different let me know.

Note that the servers only check for updates about once every four hours, so don't panic if your team doesn't update right away.
