Hello gents, due to requests and statements inside the Civ5 thread, I decided that I should organize a Civilization 5 Multiplayer Game.
As stated in the topic title, for now we will be using both Expansions to the Game (and no additional DLC) for deciding nations. This can, of course, can change if we have enough requests for it in the thread.
We will be using the Giant Multiplayer Robot client to play the game.
You can Download the Client Here. The GMR client facilitates playing hotseat multiplayer games across multiple computers, and the Admin, which is me, will create the game.
Finally, before we begin, a few house rules just so the game is played fairly...
1. Honor Diplomatic Deals - If you make a deal, keep it until it expires. This Mean NO Resource Destruction to cancel trade deals. If other parties (that are not barbarians) cause the deal to be cancelled then you are exempt.
2. NO RESEARCH OVERFLOW ABUSE - Aka, don't put off a tech and horde great scientists until midgame, then use overflow multipliers to stored beakers to end up with Modern tech when everyone is in the Renaissance
All other actions are allowed unless banned by the forum.
All players will be playing at Prince Difficulty. If you don't feel confident in your ability to play at that difficulty, then we can bump you down a difficulty or two.
So, Signups...
1. Claim the nation you want to play. First come, first served.
2. Vote on what map type you want to play.
3. Vote on what special rules you want to play with (such as policy saving, raging barbarians, etc.)
4. State what time you would best be able to play a turn in Greenwich Mean Time. This is just so I can arrange turn orders so they go mostly smoothly.
5. How long you want before someone's turn is skipped
So, in example
1. Venice
2. Continents
3. Policy Saving, Promotion Saving
4. 9:00-12:00 PM GMT
5. 24 Hour Turns
(yes, this is my sign up)[/s]
Please do not join this if you cannot commit the time to play one turn within the time limit consistantly. If you miss 10 turns unannounced, then I will kick you from the game and turn your Nation AI.
The Game is Afoot! Now you can watch the hilarity of two venices arguing who the real venice, and what ruins are coolest (hint, it's tech).
