+1. But we should just melt the door by putting its melting point below room temperature.

But we should try to burn the place after we loot it. That way it looks like a tragic accident as opposed to the handiwork of sentient forces. I doubt forensics of this time are advanced enough to pick out a fire that was only started to cover up another crime.

Anyway we can look around once we are inside, might be a better way to deal with it, here is hoping he has a lantern or something if we want to burn it down.

Hooray for tragic accidents! Hopefully they think that the fire killed all the goats too. If we're going to do the fire, we'll have to leave on or two corpses behind, in the blaze so that it actually looks like an accident. And then there's the matter of a giant pillar of smoke that is visible for miles...

The Plains of Grating, Fifth Age
The Age of Death, Year 625

Day 7, Early Morning

Thinking quick, you decide that changing the doors durability from treated to rotten wood should suffice in opening it. The incantation is still fresh in your mind, and after a few adaptations to it you successfully cast the spell. Borrowing the hatchet for a moment, you give it a try – it is almost like cutting butter, and a gasp is to be heard from the inside. Yeah.. only a real monster ought to be able to do this. To flatter the sentiment, you hand back the weapon to the skeleton, and revel in clawing away the wood. Inside, the humans resolve seems to have snapped at this point, at least if the loud sobbing is anything to go by.

The door lays in pieces, cast aside to the floor. Only a small table with a chair on top are barring you from entry, with the human cowering behind the overturned bed further inside. It is also substantially darker than the outside, with the few embers in the fireplace not able to spend anything but a very light glow. Unless he has a good portion of inhuman blood, you doubt that the man is able to see much.

Well-Fed - Doubled HP-Regeneration
Sentient Nourishment - +3 Agility and Intelligence for Skill- and Combat-checks
Slight Cut - 3 - What once was a deep cut, has healed nicely
Bite - 8 - Left shoulder. Bleeds a fair bit, but nothing dangerous.
Scratches - 6 - All over the place. Unimportant.

No point drawing this out. Have the skeleton kill him quick, loot the house, then burn the roof. Head back to your cave. We can check back at nightfall to see if any goats got poisoned.
