So there's not much point to zombies, then. An extra 40mana to make a perm.zombie instead of a perm.skeleton, and we also gain the meat of a skeleton. Also the ability to use our skeletal minions as impromptu xylophones, should the need arise.
The +40 MP goes to giving it more endurance, which might be worth it to make the most of each human corpse. Or probably not, since the protagonist has an addiction to human meat. I think it would only be worth it on an animal if it's a particularly dangerous species, so .. yeah, not that useful.

+1 to the party. -1 to Necromancy experiments at this time. The party is absurd and a waste of time, but we have time to kill while resting and I'd rather keep our head down for now. (I'd bet that the gathering forces have more to do with the recently destroyed city we awoke in than a few vanished peasants.) We might be forced to break out if the local city is being invaded. I'd rather use our mana for learning to enhance our forces than on trying to make a double-goat or trying to breach through to the next level of necromancy.

-1 to the party. Friends don't let friends drink and necromance.

We should experiment - try combining two goat skeletons together to make a supergoat skeleton. Probably easier to try with still-dead goats rather than undead goats.

+1. But if we manage to down a bear or similar we'll make zed out of it use it as our mount/body guard. Undead bear cavalry and goat horde will wreak havoc upon the world... later, after we practice bonecrafting some more.

Then you get cities like Paris where you should basically just kill yourself already.

You won’t have to think anymore: it’ll be just like having fun!

At least someone got that the party was intended to waste a little time until we can do other things!

I think they got a wee bit too wild with the party.

You suggested it. You're part of 'they' too.

I meant the character and the skeletal goats. :P They're probably still cleaning up.

( No worries, I'm still here and continuing this. I am however in the process of moving, so my activity will be iffy at best for some time. )

The Plains of Grating, Fifth Age
The Age of Death, Year 625

Day 10, Some Time After Midnight

You decide that you have earned yourself some peace and quiet from your self-imposed duties, and thus let loose. There is even a consideration to do so with your necromantic servants, but ultimately dismiss the thought. Having them move about is just more work for you, and thus you leave it at drinking one of the mead jugs empty.

So Ghouls have that reaction towards booze? Who ever knew? Actually, you just might have known at some point in time, but consider that train of thought to be a moot point. Either way, you are not sure if this is a good or a sad state of affairs, but since you hardly can do anything about it, you take it as it is. Humouring the sentiment, you leave your thoughts to wander, thinking about raising zombie bears and bone monstrosities.

Since the apparent lack of dead bears, and the complexity of creating a bone golem, you think about raising the deer instead. It will easily serve as a mount for the human skeleton, even though it is a fair bit smaller than the horse. In the end, both are not truly suited to be mounts by nature, as the domestication has not changed the build of the later all that much. It should cost about 110 MP in total.

Bone Monstrosities
Type: Advanced Bone Construct
Putting together a behemoth unseen in nature with ever differing parts, is a favourite past-time for a great deal of necromancers. While many move on to create Flesh Monstrosities as their knowledge and experience grows, these expertly crafted bone golems can easily seed fear and destruction in their wake. It is of note that “Autonomous” and “Wight” are considered redundant terms, as the time that goes into crafting these unique constructs demands strengthening them as far as possible. Coupled with the notable chances of failure, it is no wonder that most of them fill in some sort of niche that “normal” undead are not able to fill. As such, not all of them are walking siege or slaughter machines - with the occasional specialist fulfilling more diverse duties – but really, most of them are.

Currently:
205/205 HP
105/175 MP
30 MP Stored

Status:
Well-Fed - Doubled HP-Regeneration
Sentient Nourishment - +3 Agility and Intelligence for Skill- and Combat-checks

" It.. could work. For about 130 MP temporary, 200 MP total . Still, if you want to have the bones joined together, we would need necromantic healing or somesuch. There is a difference in tacking on a different part, and fusing different parts together. If the later is not possible, I can weave them together somewhat, but it won't do much good for the stability of the spell... "
