The horse data still says "Slightly Damaged."
I think that damage was from the fight earlier, and undead don't recover on their own. Heal skelly-horse with necrosurgery?

+1, but save the skeleton for a later date?
As long as we get goat as a mascot.

And we can use the goat's... Fur... To make a coat. Coats for the coat god! (And potentially something to sell, if that's an option.)

OOR! We could give our goat a coat of goat!

A goat-coat wearing skeletal-goat mascot?!... This must be a thing. And must be fan-art. Curse my lack of drawing skills.

On a more serious note... before we get in a fight of any kind, I suggest giving that hatchet to our skelefriend.

Would it be possible to repair the horse?
I think we did that already.

Don't underestimate undead goats, I lost my last fort to them. Only warning I got was when corpses of my guard dogs were dropped in the middle of my mining operations, then it was wave after wave of goats...

Kill goat, remove the flesh for our later consumption and reanimate the skeleton. These people will learn the horror of undead goats! Also, scout the road to desert we came from, keep an eye out for any traffic. We need to know how well these people are connected to those desert dwelling hunters, and if they will notice our "recruiting".
Make mental note to pay attention to any possible old ruins.

The Plains of Grating, Fifth Age
The Age of Death, Year 625

Day 7, Early Morning

Deciding on a hovel by the foothills – no need to give away just how near you truly are – you let the skeleton exchange the bow for the hatchet, and set off. The mountain-paths are as tricky as ever, but it is not all that long until you arrive in its vicinity, and proceed to take a good look at it.

The cot is rather smallish, and you somehow doubt that there could be more than four people living there, if not quite possibly less. There even is a little fenced of garden, albeit currently only a few herbs seem to grow in it. Most notably is the pen, a stonewall with a fence fitted atop, secured with a small wooden door. When you come closer to take a look, the animals within are roused, but not truly alerted just yet. From the sounds of it, they should indeed be goats.

Find the goat that is farthest away from the herd, and kill it! Then take the corpse away to be eaten and revived later.
Hopefully the shepherds will assume that a predator got it.

Disembowelment of the goats is good too.

" They are huddled together in the pen. From the sound of it, about a dozen or so. It actually could be challenging to get them, depending on how they react to me. Goats already have a nasty temper if you didn't do anything to them, but as soon as I draw blood... Could get nasty. No, really. "

" Either way, I very much doubt that the ensuing ruckus would not wake anyone that is currently sleeping inside of the house. Even if, unless the predators here-abouts have learned to open doors, they will never believe it to be one of them either. "

We'll get our chance later...

scout the road to desert we came from, keep an eye out for any traffic. We need to know how well these people are connected to those desert dwelling hunters, and if they will notice our "recruiting".
Make mental note to pay attention to any possible old ruins.
This, and keep an eye out for any stray goats on the way.

Then you get cities like Paris where you should basically just kill yourself already.

You won’t have to think anymore: it’ll be just like having fun!
