I'll admit that I'm quite eager to find some cards to use simply to have the mental image of a man robbing someone blind and then giving them very nasty paper cuts before making a deadpan one liner.

Juggernaught uses Maxes, whatever they are.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

Those are the MaximumZeros. You swing them at the enemy and he punches them for you.

Sorry, fixed that. Maces.

And now all that is needed is sprites of both sorts, map, and to determine the level of hue to use in your prologue.

VERY first thing we need is dialogue sprites, though. So...shit, this is gonna take a while.

That'd be great, thanks... ^_^'

Looking up '[race] sprites' in google images should be helpful for inspiration or a base if you need it, since I'm fairly sure the game just used the head part of them for it. They never got as detailed as FEF with expressions and such, though...

Well, we got my dialogue sprites at least.

Humans could just openly nick fire emblem dialogue sprites. Mine is just a modified one, anyhow.

Gria? Add a horn or two, some wings, call it a day.

They don't need to be from scratch, do they?

Certainly not. Your bangaa clan-mates might have less than the easiest time of it though, and I, at least, will need a Revgaji sprite to start.

So, those of you familiar with Ivalice may know that there are contradicting ideas about what they are in Ivalice. Sorta. Final Fantasy Tactics is supposed to be set some 1300 years into the future, so it's entirely possible, likely even, from what I can tell of the history, that as the magic supporting the existence of Judges began to fail, humans began to take their place. And the Archadean Judges never really took off their helmets or revealed if they were people or manifestations of magic, that's up in the air, particularly with both Advance and A2 being effectively dream-worlds, even if they're magically supported ones/time travel.

So, I suppose I'll put up a poll for which explanation you guys think is the real one.

Eh. It's mostly an opinion poll, but if everyone overwhelmingly votes for one option, that's probably what will be present in the game. I have the story related to them(oh noes spoilers even though it's in the title and description and...yeah...) set vaguely enough that it really won't matter beyond the way roleplaying interacts. Real people mean you'd be able to talk to your Judge directly more often, having him be a spell means he's probably smarter, wiser, and more knowledgeable than all of you, being a manifestation of extremely powerful magic and being around for centuries.

Oh, and what is meant by 'combination of the two' is people given the office get enhanced and semi-possessed by the magic. Think of all the bonding stories you read with mages/knights/other-protagonist-suitable-profession and dragons/magic-horses/other-magical-creature.

Pressed wrong button on poll, move one from magic to both, please.
