Sorry for taking so long to update. I discovered OotS.
The goblin tells the adventurers,
He walks off into the rocks, and as soon as he's out of sight, attempts to sneak back to grab the loot. (stealth check DEX ==> 9 vs. (?) (?) (?)) They don't seem to notice him. As Dak walks back into view, adjusting his pants, he sees Rikrin confronting the firebolt guy.
He then refutes the accusation of theft.
The adventurer replies to this by saying,
An even fight, eh? Well, then, foul kobold, much as you do not deserve the honor, I will give you a choice. Either you strip and give us your possessions as payment for attacking us, and we leave you alive, or you and I have an even fight here and now, as we are, in single combat, and whoever wins gets to, how do you say it, loot the dead?
Your choice. I'll give you sixty seconds.
His friend attempts to stop him by grabbing his arm and saying,
"I want a pack mule. I'll be accountable for him."
She's even doing puppy dog eyes. Unfortunately for you, he is adamant about it.
Sorry, friend, but the forces of the archetype are quite clear on this matter. No matter what, freed prisoners always try to betray their captors.
After this statement, the last adventurer shrugs and wanders off, presumably to also take a whiz. (passive perception check WIS (?)) He doesn't notice anything to make him suspect that you didn't actually pee. Even the lack of urine on the ground doesn't tip him off.
How do you respond to this offer of honourable combat?
