OOC:
But I doubt sir GM would allow that.
I'd let you, but I'm not sure the merchant would be too happy. And the players would probably get suspicious after a while.

---

You attempt to stealthily follow the adventurers, but at least one of them seems to have noticed you. (stealth rolls: Rikrit 8+3, Rikrin 7+3, Szzrit 10+3, G'shar 6+2)

One of the adventurers hails you.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

In all seriousness, wat do

We could try to convince the players we're friendly as well, but I highly doubt they'll accept that.

The kobolds should flee for now, and try to get ahead of the wagon closer to the Troll Caverns. When the wagon get's closer, the kobolds could hide nearby in ambush.

Curse them! An ambush!

If the adventurers pursue the kobolds, isolating them from the wagon with the fire elemental and then ganging up on them with goblin and kobolds both could be a possibility. But that not only wisens them up, it also runs the risk of failure and losing 5 characters (although we could probably kill at least one or two of them)

Finally the goblin could stay behind if the adventurer's pursue the kobolds and attack the caravan, and get some good loot from it. Only problem is that fire elemental, we don't really know how strong it is.

We said we were the exposition/information-giving NPC!
We lied.
What, so we abandon the lie ASAP so you can suicidally attack a bunch of adventurers?
No, but we don't tell them about the kobolds we don't even know about either.
But then they have less reason to trust us. What good is an information-giving NPC who doesn't give information?

The problem i see with telling them of the kobolds is that the players KNOW we are out to get them in the end. They also more than likely know, or at least assume that we control the goblin. If we warn them of kobolds, or even bandits, and then they are attacked by kobold brigands, then I feel that will only affirm their assurance in our control of the goblin. We may actually be endangering the goblin.
Wait.
The players know that we control the goblin, who has claimed to be an information-giving NPC. So, when the goblin gives information...it makes the players more certain he isn't an information-giving NPC?

Say we're prostitutes. Show some leg. Seduce player characters.
I regret that I have but one -1 to give to this suggestion.

Act natural. Also flee. Flee naturally.
Prepare to ambush later.

Dringish! Jnnlruslbele!

Shout this whist fleeing.

If they believe kobolds to be total morons, then they won't expect them to use tactics later on.

We're not supposed to have this information as a friendly NPC. Only an evil NPC would know about an ambush ahead of time. Or a freaking seer.

+1, we'll set up another ambush further ahead.

The players will be more suspicious of an NPC who gives accurate information on things they shouldn't know. What do helper NPCs do?

As goblin, give incredibly obvious tutorial. To move, please submit move as an action. To attack, please submit attack [thing] as an action.

I never said to suggest that there would be an ambush right now, only that there were people who might ambush them in this area.
Read my frikkin' suggestion before complaining.

I don't know. Professor Oak knew there would be hostile pokemon in the area plus we are an evil NPC turned good NPC so we might know this from before we turned good a couple of hours ago. Ex. "When I was with the tribe I heard there were some kobalds who hung out here to ambush adventurers .

Shaman harry players from a distance with a few spells. Goblin warn of the "Gray One" a mage who inhabits this area. Run around like a headless chicken making things dificult for the players. Other kobolds fake attack shaman, who fake flees.

Also, hide all our money, since we're probably not going to use it anyway.

Less loot for the players.

The kobolds, not the goblin.

I very much doubt that the kobolds have anything that would be considered good loot for the adventurer's, but I could be wrong. The only kobold I would think of having good loot would be the shaman.

Of course, I also don't think there is any economy in this game. If there is, selling loot would bring profit and I am wrong here.
Actually, the kobolds have zeta coins on them, and as I've said, they should drop them
