I think the "Spoiler: Things currently being controlled by the community" needs to be updated with the kobolds.

Updated. Thanks for the reminder. With the increased amount of stuff in it, I should probably format the list differently, but I'll have to wait until tomorrow to do that.

Keep kobolds hidden until they come to the Troll Caves, assuming that the adventurers will engage the troll. Then attack the adventurers from behind.

If they don't engage the troll, then this suggestion is void.
+1

Goblin: Keep a lookout. Warn the party that there may be kobolds about.

I say all the kobolds should drop their valuables and hide them in the bushes, so the adventures get no cash from the fight. Obviously the shaman should try to be in the second line of combat.

As for the goblin, as soon as the goblin notices fights he should run off and then sneak behind the crew for the next duration, to conveniantly return in the right moment.

-1 to telling them about the Kobolds. If we're a simple NPC, how would we know? Besides, we shouldn't focus too much on the Goblin. I don't see a positive to telling them, other then gaining some trust, the downside is: 1. We may have the chance to kill one or two of them, so we should take advantage of this. 2. They may question how we acquired this knowledge.

+1. They should leave their valuables in the bushes they hide in. And if it looks like we could kill one or more of the adventurers, have the goblin join in.

We are the expository/info-giving NPC. We need to give them expository information.

1. Why do we want to kill them? And anyways, wouldn't the rest kill us?
2. Again, we told them we were the exposition NPC.

Why would we want to alert them to a potential ambush? At the very least, let's wait and see how successful the Kobolds are, and join in with the goblin if it looks like he might change the balance of the battle.

Are you seriously asking why we would want to kill them? That's our objective.

It could be our objective but more importantly killing one or two of them would be pointless as a waitlist is in effect. It will do more damage if we kill all of them at the same time.

No telling them about the kobolds, that's stupid and how could we know anyway.
Yes to leaving the valuables hidden and attacking with the kobolds. Ambush them, have the shaman engage first with ice gnats while invisible, then the kobolds charge while the chaman stays behind and throw earth bolts.
The goblins should hide in the cart and cower.

It seems you and I have different priorities. You want to kill the PCs; I want the goblin to show a sense of self-preservation like a real goblin would.

No telling them about the kobolds, that's stupid and how could we know anyway.
We said we were the exposition/information-giving NPC!

+1. Your right about us not telling them about the kobolds, too. There's NO WAY we could know. If only there was a way to become an NPC that gives valuable information to the current quest, but oh well.

@GM- I was wondering about how to control the NPCs, and seeing how we have massed five so far, wouldn't it take a long time for us to agree on tactics? Especially later in the game? Maybe you could assign monsters to the more frequent posters, and let them decide for their characters.
